those are pretty awesome. I had a buddy in jr high who had that Avengers 196. I tried to trade him for it but no go. the ones I listed should be pretty cheap, maybe the slipknot issue would be a little more expensive since he was in a suicide squad movie but the justlice league and outsiders books are pretty cheap and easy to find.

RIP CARLOS PACHECO, who passed today due to the effects of ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
I was a fan of his artwork.
Right Now you're reading my post!

Justice Society of America #1
I thought that this resurected title was off to a very odd yet good start. I have faith that Geoff Johns knows what he's doing and you just can't expect greatness right out of the gate.
There's obvious world building here that needs to rely on the past... a lot of past.
I'll just say I'm glad the first issue is out of the way... time to move forward... or maybe back. Lol.
This is a great review of #1 with spoilers and I'm pretty much in full agreement with what the writer has to say. You can read this and see what's going on in the first issue and decide to buy it or not.
I'll be back for #2 next month.

I read the golden age book and the first issue of Stargirl. they were both ok. I like how they're adding characters. Red Lantern looks really cool.
I like how Johns writes, his previous run on JSA was great. I wish they would have gone with the roadmap that he laid out in Doomsday Clock. I know the timing of it was screwed up but they shoulda held onto it. instead they started Metal and that IMO is where DC really lost their way.
I hope they let Johns kind of take the reigns again.

I bought the JSA book. it was ok. the story is somewhat interesting. I'm want to see where they go with this. I read the flashpoint story Johns just finished up a few months ago too. his storyline kinda keeps up with his watchmen stuff he was playing around with in doomsday clock. Johns is a great writer, I'm hoping his footprint at DC comics gets much bigger. give him back the legion.
so I think everything is rebooting in a couple of months (again), if I were working at DC, I'd de-age Jon Kent, he was a better character when he was younger

I'm yet to read Doomsday Clock past #2 and even though I've gathered up all the Flashpoint Beyond's... I haven't read a single one yet.
Don't know what's up... maybe just age... I never feel like reading anymore. But I keep buying shit.

I remember thinking doomsday clock was really cool, it just took waaaaaaay toooo long to get it out. Johns set up a new timeline, he had the legion, he had the JSA. he addressed a ton of things people had been bitching about for years. the problem was they started metal like a month after the last issue of DC and the first issue of Metal (it's not really a month, it just felt like it).
I'm really only reading the Johns stuff. nothing else at DC interests me. when I go to buy comics I buy back issues from the 80's and late 70's. I'll pretty much read anything up until metal. I honestly hated everything about that whole thing. metal, dark metal the batman who laughs were all garbage. everything since then had been young adult novel garbage.

I'm gonna try and read Doomsday Clock and Flashpoint Beyond. I hope I get around to it. I'm like you, in not caring at all for the stories and characters they are pushing now.
Detective and Batman latest arcs have been the exception with what look to be much improved stories and art... but I'm waiting on the trades to come out simply just to save some money on buying the single issues.

Woke comic books are laughable money-losers — but DC and Marvel keep pushing them anyway
Marvel made its evil character M.O.D.A.A.K. resemble Donald Trump. (Link for pic)
A new Batman is black. There’s a new Spider-Man-like character, except she’s a lesbian who uses a wheelchair. Iron Man is now a black teenage girl. Really.
Instead of just saving lives, today’s comic superheroes lead protests. The cover of a Superman comic shows Superman’s son leading a school “strike for climate.”
It’s so stupid! Superman, with all his powers, could solve climate change all by himself. But now he holds a protest sign.
“These guys are writing material for their peers,” says July. “So even if the Son of Superman falls completely off the charts like it did, right? It’s still a win in their mind.”

There's so much that's so laughably inaccurate and twisted to fit a narrative in this article, I don't know where to begin. And I've never even heard of this supposed comics pro insider "Eric July." Notice Stossel doesn't reach out to any of the publishers or creators he's criticizing for comment, just this dude. It's horseshit.
"There will always be a Holyfield or a Tyson, but there's only one Mohammad Ali. There will always be a new body building champion, but there's only one Arnold. And there's only one David Lee. I'm the fun in Van Halen, always will be." - David Lee Roth
