True origin of OU812?

I think I found it. Eddie and the boys always said it was just the latest name they had bounced around in the studio from a license plate. Well, I was watching Cheech & Chong's Next Movie last night, and if you look closely at the license plate of the red sportscar Chong and Cheech's cousin take off in, guess what it says. I thought it was the coolest thing since the number 5150 was in my accounting homework. That movie's from 1980, so it could be it.

You gotta remember that Roth was king in those days. WB wanted Ed to fold the VH name after Dave left. They might have gotten the idea from a movie or whatnot, but they were just saying 'we're just as big and bad with Dave as we were with him'.

My uncle always told me 0u812 went with the hand sign on the cd book cover, looks like a pussy he would always say hence, 0u812. Sometimes he can be a moron but I thought it was kindda funny and you guys might get a kick outta it
