Ringtones?

Hey guys I just bought a Nextel Motorola i205 and it has ringtone capabilities. Does anybody know where I can find some ringtones for it?

I have yet to find any site that will offer any Van Halen ringtones. I have AT&T/Cingular and on the MMode, there is RealTones, which is cool, a snippet of an actual song, but of course, no VH.

I got a Midi version of Ice Cream Man last week from, I believe, X-ringer on Verizon. Dancing in the Streets was on there, too.

I had an I205.. That phone only supports MIDI ringtones, not Real Music WAVS...

Some phones support making your own using a program called mp3trim. you can select a snippet of a song...say 10-15 seconds...convert it to a wav file...rename it to .mid, and text it to your phone. Check out this web page to see if that's a possiblity for you.

I did not see any good VH ringtones. Those 2 songs suck. I could use a good DLR era song-Mean Street, Unchained.

I had to go and get Ratt Round and Round.

A friend of mine found some.... I'll have to ask her where. She has "Poundcake" as my ring. Sometimes I call her when we are at work just so I can hear my song!

I have a cool version of Jump on my phone, but the volume level is shit. It's still loaded on my phone, but I haven't used it for a while.

However, I downloaded the Xingtone software a couple of months ago, and it's the freakin' heat! You can convert and trim amy song you want to use as your ringtone and upload it to your phone. The only problem I have run into so far is that my phone (the cheap "free with rebate" flipup from Cingular) only allows files up to 40k, so I've had to be creative with where I end the loop of the music, etc. My contract is up for renewal with Cingular this month, and you can bet I'll be getting a new phone that can handle larger files.

Anyway, the software is like $20, and you can check it out HERE . IMO, it's well worth it if you change your ringtone often and pay 2 or 3 bucks each time to do it. This way, you can change it as often as want and not be stuck with the crappy choices from all of those pay sites.

I have a Motorola V400 phone that can take "super tones" with Cingular service. With that phone it came with the phone tools cd that you can upload/download images and ringtones to your phone via USB cable.

I was able to download an Mp3 editor (audacity) and save the opening riff of Top of the World into it's own Mp3, then I used the phone tools tool to make an opening/closing fade and import up to my phone.

I'm now using it as my main ringtone

That's my WAP site. It has some VH ringtones that I created from midi files. Yes, the Eruption is that same funky one mentioned above.

Until I get a wav compatible phone, these will have to do!
