When that CD came out, I saw a review that basically dumped all over it. At the time I was appalled, but listening to it again, I realize that the sound quality on that thing is terribly noisy--WAY too much crowd noise. After reading about how much effort they put into it with Andy Johns, I am kinda surprised. I thought LWAN had a MUCH better overall vibe, even if there's no bass on it. Then again, it WAS 1986--VH wasn't 'into' bass frequencies then anyway.

I won't rate the songs, though...too much to think about when I don't like the sound of any of it.

notice how eddie makes a mistake during his guitar solo when hes playing the speed picking part of eruption? i wonder why they put that on because they recorded 2 nights.... weird eh?

Actually he made a mistake on the origianl record, and he plays it the way he originally intended that part to be live [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I liked the crowd noise. Makes you feel like you're there! But the set list coulda been better.
