That's pretty much how I feel. With the exception of seeing Han and Chewie again there wasn't anything memorable about any of it.

Rogue and Solo were good. I was hoping for a second solo movie where Han and Chewie are established. Then, we could see them beating up some Greedo's and Walrus guys in the cantina while the cantina theme plays. LOL.

Yep, it's too bad about Solo. I definitely feel like the release of it being so soon after the polarizing TLJ hurt it at the box office. They set it up to have a sequel, but of course that will never happen now.

It sucks, because I loved both Rogue One and Solo, but the main trilogy they just botched so badly. Completely mishandled all of the classic characters and actors that so many of us grew up loving, and replaced them with new characters whose development either never went anywhere, or just never had any reason to even care about them making them forgettable characters.
In some ways, Rise of Skywalker is even worse.

Jeez, that is sad. I shouldn't be surprised though. Disney painted themselves into a pretty tight corner with the bullshit of the first two films, mostly from TLJ. But TFA had its issues as well. But, it was at least entertaining and showed promise. Unfortunately, Rian Johnson flushed all that promise down the shitter.

    IMO...

TFA was pretty safe, but reset the universe with a ton of potential. I feel like itís not the best Star Wars movie, but it is the most fun.

TLJ took some big swings and risks that may have been great with original characters, but not with legacy characters carrying ~40 years of weight and expectations. I get what Rian was doing, and I appreciate the conviction behind it, but it obviously didnít land with everybody.

TROS is such a whiplash of course correction in terms of overall story that it basically makes TLJ worse. There are cool set pieces and some very Star Warsy moments, but it seems like itís born from committee and crowd sourcing rather than conviction to tell a compelling story.

With Harrison checked out, Carrie no longer with us, and Mark probably burned out there is no going back. Theyíre better off just focusing on new stories with less baggage tied to them.

Just the fact that Han, Luke, and Leia were NEVER onscreen together was simply one of the dumbest moves Disney couldve made.

Its such a shame on how bad they screwed it up. The amazing thing is that Kathleen Kennedy still has a job and power at Disney. Star Wars is still a golden goose but the eggs are smaller. Had they nailed the sequels, it would have been bigger than ever. Yes they make money but think about it this way. After what maybe 8 years at Disney, would you ever think that the biggest thing they can hang their hat on is a streaming series? Sure Rogue One was a very good film but there is already a sequel for that. You think if they decided to make "Star Wars - Rey Starwalker and the Prince of Tattooine" it would be as anticipated as the prequels? No.

Its The Mandolorian that is their flag ship. Obviously they can and will go back in time but they had once chance to have this be even bigger and they blew it. Yes its making money but its like DC vs Marvel. They could have been Marvel but settled for DC

Agreed. To me it, absolutely was a worse movie than ROS. No story. No character development. Just, "Palpy's back, we're going to find and kill him...The end". Every main character (Rey, Finn, Poe) could have died in this movie, and I really think nobody would have cared. Only good scene was Han and Kylo.

Last Jedi at the very least had a few emotionally worthy moments, a couple cool story ideas/directions and even though Luke's turning into a miserable, curmudgeon was jarring. Hamill brought it with his performance. Completely disagreed with the direction his character was being taken, but he still showed up and gave a stellar performance. A consummate professional. He was phenomenal in that movie.

Me personally. I think you could just view the Skywalker Saga as a 7 episode collection and it would be perfectly acceptable. Let the saga end with them finding Luke at the end of 7. Potentially bringing him back to Leia. Back to civilization. Back to being the best Jedi ever.

Leave it up to the viewer's imagination what happens next.

I would take Favreau over Lucas. I LOVE Lucas - his vision was the cinema of my youth between Star Wars and Indiana Jones. However, with the prequels (warning in advance of a POV that will anger some and differ from many) beyond moments in them are just plain awful; and are by far, worse than the sequels; Lucas lost his way and became too focused on the effects (which haven't aged well) versus the story and characters. What Favreau did w/ Mandalorian was brilliance.

Sure, have Lucas on as an executive producing consultant or something....but I whole agree w/ Favreau.

Yeah I would take Fava bean over Lucas but ok with Lucas taking over as long as KK is removed. Trouble is that you can't fix what happened. Carrie is gone, Harrison likely will be soon. Plus 2 shit shows and one remake of A New Hope are already out.

I guess you could technically use Mark Hamill in some capacity and just mention that his sister died, etc Maybe show Marty McFly in the beginning kidnapping Kathleen Kennedy and sending her into the future.
