They made enough on that last tour to last many lifetimes. They'll do another in a few years. Why jeopardize their relationship by going into the studio?

    Just from 2016-2019.....

The Not in This Lifetime… Tour grossed $584.2 million, sold 5.37 million tickets and spanned six continents over the course of 158 shows, Billboard reports. Nov 25, 2019

Like Mike said, Axl and Duff are probably just chillin.

Still plenty of time this spring/summer to try to get Axl in the Studio.... Next Guns tour dates are November 6, 2021 in Australia.

Exactly. Why ruin a good thing? I'd definitely be curious to hear new GNR, but it certainly won't sound like old GNR.

Axl will be voicing his animated self in an upcoming Scooby Doo episode.

    Lol.

I guess you know you've made it when you are the celebrity guest on Scooby Doo.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Slash NEEDS to be in the studio or on the road...that's how he functions IMO.

This said - I respect the hell out of Myles - but his voice on records doesn't do it for me (live he's pretty great though).

That's how I feel about Myles too. Great singer, I can recognize that, but I really don't like him as a singer.

I like them so much better with Adler behind the kit.

I do like what Sorum was able to do with some of the tunes. But it's an interesting point since Adler played on their ground-breaking Appetite album and nothing else they did came close to that. I like the Illusion albums but AFD had such a rawness that was missing from the UYI albums.

Adler and Duff were SO locked in on AFD ...

I find Adler to simply be more original. While obviously competent, Sorum's parts seem so vanilla to me.

Could just be me, not a drummer, but I think the drums really stand out on AFD, you notice the fills he is doing in the songs, they contribute to the melody, in comparison to UYI.

I think your are preaching to the choir, and about 99% of GnR fans agree with you. Adler all the way. The drum parts on AFD are classics. Even non-drummers can air drum all day long...haha... Just had that SWING that was unmistakeable.

Sorum is a pro for sure. They needed someone who could be consistent for the 3 year UYL Tour.

To Matt's credit, Slash and Duff must have liked him. They brought him along to Velvet Revolver when they could have had their choice of almost any Pro rock drummer at the time.

Also, You Could Be Mine is pretty good.

    Locomotive has some cool parts.

Lest we forget the third song in the holy triumvirate of AFD awesomeness ...

I’d like to hear something new from them, but the more I thought about it, I’d rather see them live again. 3+hour show, started on time and they brought it. When I saw them in 2017, it was possibly better than when I saw them at Donnington & way better than when I saw them at Wembly.
