I saw them in 07’. Great show. But I’m not paying to see Phil Collins sit on stage and half-ass through these songs, unfortunately.

Also, good luck with the Toronto date.

At the rate we’re going, I doubt we’ll be fully vaccinated by November.

I saw them in 1987 and loved the show. I'll either go to Chicago or NYC this Fall to see them.

I saw them with Gabriel never Phil. But I'd pass on them at their age because Phil's pipes are done. Id go to a free show.

Well you could say that with the addition of Nic Collins on drums, the band is actually younger than the last time they went out.

Nick Collins over Chester Thompson? Are you kidding me? Chester is one of the best 20 drummers alive even at his age. Better than Phil ever was even at his age. But the main reason I'd pass are the last videos of Phil singing. It happened to Sinatra and our own DLR too. He has some hearing problems that may contribute. His back is a wreck from botched surgeries and his one foot has gone numb so no drums anymore.Entropy sucks.

Have no interest watching Phil Collins in a chair on stage not be able to hit the notes anymore.

Feel bad for the guy, such an incredible musician, but Father Time is undefeated.

Default Genesis / The Last Domino?

    from superdeluxeedition.com:

New greatest hits on 2CD and 4LP vinyl

    BY PAUL SINCLAIR

With their rescheduled The Last Domino? tour just over a month away, in a not altogether unexpected move, Genesis have announced a companion ‘best of’ also called The Last Domino?

Described as “acollection of the band’s best-loved songs, including their biggest hits and legendary album cuts”, The Last Domino? will be released in September, a few days before the tour starts.

Available as a two-CD set or a 4LP vinyl package this compilation features 27 songs and was compiled in conjunction with the band. It also gives us a clue in terms of the concert set-lists since we are told that a “majority” of these songs will be performed on the tour

The 4LP version of The Last Domino? is housed in a hardcover gatefold book-style package, which includes rare and unseen images of the band from their archive and images of the rehearsals of The Last Domino? Tour.

The Last Domino? will be released on 17 September 2021.

    CD 1 / LPs 1&2

    Dukes End
    Turn It On Again
    Mama
    Land Of Confusion
    Home By The Sea
    Second Home By The Sea
    Fading Lights
    The Cinema Show
    Afterglow
    Hold On My Heart
    Jesus He Knows Me
    That’s All
The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
    In Too Deep
    Follow You Follow Me

    CD 2 / LPs 3 & 4

    Duchess
    No Son Of Mine
    Firth Of Fifth
    I Know What I Like
    Domino Medley
    Throwing It All Away
    Tonight, Tonight, Tonight
    Invisible Touch
    I Can’t Dance
    Dancing With The Moonlight Knight
    Carpet Crawlers
    Abacab

going to guess probably not the original mixes. Some interesting picks from the early era that I don't have on the Turn It On Again two CD set.

Out of sheer curiosity I looked on Ticketmaster at what tickets were going for for their two shows in Toronto.

I'm sorry to anybody who has bought tickets to this tour but Outrageous wouldn't be appropriate enough of a word, IMO.

First 5 rows of the lower bowl sections close to the stage are $825 because they're part of one of the numerous ticket packages the band is offering. In the higher rows of the lower bowl you're looking at $359 plus fees. Upper bowl tickets are $228....

    11th row floors are $1150.....

Coupled in that this is the kind of performance you're getting from Phil....

Criminal would be a more appropriate word. Unreal.

I've loved Phil since I was 4. Listening to Another Day in Paradise is my earliest musical memory and I saw Genesis in Toronto in 07'. Phenomenal show.

But this is just sad and pathetic to see. Somebody in his condition shouldn't be performing at all let alone charging what they're charging.

On Ticketmaster the prices are not constant and change presumably with demand. I know that when I look at tickets to the show I'm going to in Columbus the prices are higher than when I bought mine on the first day on sale, except for isolated single seats in the upper deck which will be harder to sell because they are singles. Not saying the prices aren't high, even what I paid was higher than I would've liked, but they are higher now than they were. For a band I've been a fan of for 30 years (and I'm only 36 years old) and have never seen and likely will never again, I had to do it and I have no doubt they will put on a great show. Phil is just one piece of the puzzle.

Phil already toured arenas on his own for 2+ years in this same condition and was very successful. And that's when he really is the main focus. Genesis has more instrumentally focused music so it's not all on Phil to entertain.
