Becoming Led Zeppelin is a cool documentary. Some critics have complained that its not insightful, it preaches to the choir, there's nothing new...blah, blah, blah. I didn't give a fuck--at all. I loved every second of it. Hearing Bonham speak brought a tear to my eye. Seeing them still get excited about how they formed was really fun. The only problem I had with it was that it wasn't long enough. Ha ha. Bring on the doc for III and IV!!

This film is really good. It concentrates on the formative/halcyon years before Plants nicotine ball drop and Pages sloppy heroin playing. Jones is Jones simply great. And there are never heard? interview snipets with Bonzo who's style definitely changed after the first US tour with Vanilla Fudge and Carmines triplet tutelage which he has said many times over the years and and I never bought into but this film shows it imo. It also has filmage that I have never seen on You Tube. The sound is excellent.

We had a screening of the doc for my team and loved it. Most of the team is actually in their 20's so it was cool seeing their reactions as for some it was all new, They did a solid job and nothing earth shatteringly new for old fans but well done. Focus on the early years was especially cool to show the people not just the excess and wild stories. Of course could have been being high AF but was really enjoyable
