    I go back to the HTWWW live version of OTHAFA the most.... but really it is a mix of June 25 1972 LA and June 27 1972 Long Beach.

    +++

    Same deal with TSRTS version (2007 reissue). Combination of July 27th, 28th and 29th 1973......

    Personally the coolest thing about HTWWW is that it was recorded the day before and the day after I was born. Bands evolve over time. This album shows exactly what Zep sounded like when I was born.

    Geeky shit, but I'll take it.

    Yeah, several songs on HTWWW are mixes from multiple nights. But, man, do they sound great! Love that live album. OTHAFA is one of many stellar tracks on it.

    Yeah, it's a shame that Page used different edits for the reissues.

    Page had to in some strange legal contractual thing with the filmmaker, about using only music that matched what was in the film, when that was the case. Otherwise the re-mastering and extra songs not included in the original LPs would not have been available for release. Zeppelin usually had pretty good control of their doings, but, in the case of this film, there were limitations on their control unfortunately. Page had to play ball their way or it was "no way."

    I just listened to Led Zeppelin, live at the LA Forum from 1977 over the weekend.

    https://archive.org/details/LZ_1977-06-21

    Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand and No Quarter sounded awesome!

    Always fun to go back to this website. Incredible breakdown of the subtle difference between nights and edits that Page did. http://www.thegardentapes.co.uk/tgt.html
