If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yeah, Remember the good old days when you would fight sleep? Now I could fall asleep anywhere. Doctors waiting rooms, in the salon while waiting for my hair color to process, Bureau of Motor vehicles. waiting for the waiter to bring my coffee. anywhere. little micro naps.

But back to Vegas. The swimming pools were really something for a Midwest kid. There were not a lot of them in rural Ohio and they were a sign of wealth. We didn't even have swimming pools at our parks. There are lots of little quarries around here and a lot of them become public swimming. Never mind that there are old vehicles at the bottom of them including quarrying equipment and stolen cars. Recently they shut down the quarry I swam at as a kid because divers had identified a vehicle and thought it was connected to a VERY cold case missing person so the county dive team came. Turned out to be nothing. but it was a reminder that we swam in a virtual junkyard as kids and we loved it. LOL Or we swam at the lake which was pretty freaking dirty in the 60's and 70's. It was always fun to go to the UP or Canada to swim in those lakes were you could see your own feet

So the pools at Vegas were amazing to us. We soon figured out that it was too hot most of the day to swim and in the evenings all the adults came out, but it was a real experience for a kid to swim in those huge, pristine, clear, beautiful pools.

Daisy, being from Chicago all we had were the public swimming pools and they were a nightmare in the summer! Too freakin' crowded and lots of unsavory characters hanging about. We tried getting our parents to buy an above ground pool but they said it was too expensive. I made friends with a couple of classmates that had them and it was always nice to visit them when it got very hot. Of course we still had Lake Michigan at our disposal but it was always pretty risky and I had a few close calls there that I will never forget!

Daisy, you and your friends were swimming with decomposing bodies. But not too worry, so was I back in those days. Just like JoBeth Williams in Poltergeist, it was all in a day's work!

Most of the water you drink was once urine.
This statement is essentially true, as the water on Earth is constantly recycled through the water cycle, meaning that the water you drink today could have once been part of another living creature's urine, including dinosaurs, due to the vast timescales involved; although it would have been significantly purified through natural processes like evaporation and filtration before reaching your tap
