It may be a Jay Oh Bee. But it's better than not having one. People that don't, most often wish they had. Flippin burgers is better than asking for one on a corner.

I don't bitch about too much shit for the most part. But I have seen people that dont really have much going on. Killing, no money etc. I have also seen folks with nothing and are happy with what they DO have. I have also seen cocksuckers that make too money and are fucking fag assholes complaining about shit all the fucking time.

Sometimes one needs to take a breath and take a drink and think, I'm golden. It isn't that bad. Fuck, I watched my finance die within three months. Hate to be a fucking DB here. But, i'm that way tonight. Out.

I would say I have always been grateful for my jobs more than actually loving them. I'm just tired.

In a couple of years I hope to be working part time at Costco, driving for Meals on Wheels, and watching my grandkids grow up.

    This.

I love my job, and it is decently important, so I get personal value from that.

But, it isn't the years, it is the mileage. I'm simply tired, want to go be a bartender in Key West for the rest of my days.

On top of that, I really don't like what our country is turning into, so there is that as well.

    I agree.

I would hope that not all of them actually needed mental health therapy, but that they think they do. Probably just putting too much pressure on themselves. I'd imagine most just need to get laid once in a while. Take the edge off. lol

Hey, if it'll help them in the future to not put a gun in their hands and go on a rampage, then counsel away.

I thought we wanted there to be more mental health counseling in this country anyway?

    Countdown is on!

6 days until my lady & I take off for Honolulu.
11 days until we get married in Waialae Beach in Waikiki.

After losing FIVE family members in the span of just over 2 years (my mother, my brother, two of my uncles & her stepfather), we both looked at each other and said "We need this. We need this to be about us and only us." And that is how it shall be. When we get back, we'll plan a "reception" for somewhere around April/May so all of our family & friends can celebrate with us.

    Good for you.

I think if my wife and I had over the years spent more time with just us, we would be much better off relationship wise.

Or maybe the extra time with me would have made her realize earlier on she didn't like me.

Anyway, the best to you and the future missus, hope you have a great time.

    Good for you.

More people should think like you do. Divorce rates would be smaller, families would stay together, and personal happiness would be at an all time high.

Glad you like your job. I get the idea of chucking it and bartending in Key West tho. This week I attended the funeral of a 36 year old guy who just dropped dead. They won't know autopsy results for 6 months so everyone around him is just in shock

But the thing that struck me was that at his funeral so many people spoke about how much he loved his job, was great at it, and made the environment great for everyone who worked with him. They said going to work was like going to their second home because of him. His job was not what many of you would think of as important but it was important to him. I sat there thinking that there hasn't been a day in my adult life that I have worked a job that I can truly say I loved the way this guy loved his. Granted my situation is not unlike George Bailey's in It's a Wonderful Life....I had other plans for sure but my dedication to my family left me working a job that was supposed to be a short term but has ended up lasting my whole adult life. Maybe I would have like this if I had been given a choice, but I kind of got swept up in it.

I went to an amusement park with my little ones for Halloween and told them that when I was a teenager I always wanted to work there or at Disney, but every summer my family needed me so I never had the opportunity and it was a big disappointment to me. A young girl working at the cash register overheard and said "It's never too late. They hire retirees here as part timers alot." I turned an looked at Pat and said, well I AM semi retired and can spend more time as I like ........... but NOPE! LOL some things are better left in the past but I'd like to try something drastically different where I could have fun at work and then clock the F out and go home and not think about work until I clocked back in. The clocking out part is what appeals the most.
