Honestly, I have never sought nor found fulfillment in my life through work. Work has always been a means to a different end for me. I found a comfortable and agreeable spot to land that allows me to spend time and a little bit of money on the things I truly value--my family, my personal time, and my friends. A part of me has always resented having to work at all. Such is the life to which I was born, so I went to fucking work and I likely won't stop until I drop dead.

On top of that, I really don't like what our country is turning into, so there is that as well.
I've been off 5 weeks, got a whole lot more where I'm getting paid. The only thing I know for sure is I will never do the commute downtown ever again. It's taken me this long to realize that I was run into the fucking ground.

I used to do a drive like that to downtown LA when I worked at the Slimes, I mean Times. When my daughter was born, I couldn’t take it anymore. I was in the car literally four hours a day commuting.

I finished my current contract year on November 15th, and I feel that all I have done since then is sleep.

I basically grew up in the transportation business and have held almost every position from bottom to top. It has taken me all over this country and parts of Europe. I only have a few years left and have mixed feelings about it. That being said I would do it all over again!

Mattel has a new series of Barbie dolls out based on "inspiring Women" One is based on Wilma Mankiller and while some think it is a good thing others wonder why Mattel could not have taken a moment to get it right.

The doll portrays Wilma wearing a turquoise dress and holding a basket. The basket is not an accurate depiction of a Cherokee basket. so there's that. But the Biggie is that Mattel used incorrect spelling in the Cherokee language and so now the packaging has the seal of the "Chicken Nation" instead of the Cherokee Nation. Geez. Comes out that in developing this doll, they did not turn to anyone actually from the Cherokee nation to assist or give input into the design. One would think on something so culturally sensitive, that it would be easy to get right with a little help. But no, they winged it. This is what happens when you use wikipedia for your source material I guess

    What a bone headed mistake.

Anyone out there shopping for someone with a Dad bod, I recommend looking into a company called True Classic Tees. They make t shirts, henleys and various shirts made to accommodate a Dad bod belly. Sometimes if you buy a larger size so that it doesn't have to stretch out over the belly, or ride up and expose the bottom of the belly ( and if you are doing that, for the love of God STOP! It's worse than the plumbers crack) you end up with a fit that is loose thru the shoulders, neck and sleeves and it looks sloppy

These are cut to fit chest up but with a looser waist so that you don't look like a busted box. I bought henleys and they arrived early for Christmas and were really a hit. They have Tshirts, henleys, dress and casual shirts as well as other clothing items

I thought they would be expensive but they are not and with the Christmas sale they're even more affordable I think I paid $17 for the henleys, 14 for the tshirts and casual shirts. Only the henleys arrived early so I don't have a review of the others, but I expect they'll be appreciated too. The colors aren't exciting, basic solid colors, but the fit is what is the selling point

And for those of you who are showing your arse everytime you bend, or are shopping for someone who does, do the world a favor and get yerself over to Duluth Trading and stock up on their long tail t shirts. please.

I love their shirts and especially their tank tops. The fit is great for those with a bit of a belly or just want a shirt that extends past the belt line.

    Modern life, sometimes....

Almost got in a fight on Saturday night with Palestinian protesters, and then get into it tonight with people who wouldn't shut the fuck up in a movie theatre.

    The movie theater.

Idk why people frequent them still for the very reason stated. I don't wanna be around people in an environment like that since the invention of big screen tvs. Some of you guys probably have movie rooms with an 85 in TV mounted on the wall o course. Dolby theater or whatever sound. I've never put a TV on my wall. I prefer a nice TV stand anyway.

I want about 6 months ago. I got bored bored after and hour and left .

    Family night? OK.
