So it turns out the Police did have him under surveillance, but he got away from them anyway.

I feel like the Fed is lying about inflation, just saying.

To say that it is decreasing, when the three month and the twelve month trend number is the same is disingenuous.

Went to buy wild bird seed to feed my feathered friends it's up like 25% over last winter. I've seen this play before 40 years ago difference is bank yields with fees are 0% or negative. Wall st is overbought imo. What a mess. I'm thinking any rate increase either by the Fed Res or open market rates will sink stocks . Can they keep buying bonds and equities forever?

The only thing saving US monetary policy is that the rest of the world is in the same boat, and no one trusts China with their money.

We can't raise rates due to our debt load as a country, so lying about inflation I guess is the next best thing.

Just guessing as well, but I am assuming that if something is sold for the same price, but your get 10 ounces of it instead of 12, that our records don't accurately record that as inflation. Could be wrong.

Kellogg's customer files $5 million lawsuit alleging Pop-Tarts don't have enough strawberries

A class action lawsuit, filed by Illinois resident Anita Harris in August, alleges the brand's marketing is "misleading because they give people the impression the fruit filling contains a greater relative and absolute amount of strawberries than it does." The lawsuit also focuses on the health benefits that come from strawberries, citing a WebMD description stating that strawberries "protect your heart, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure and guard against cancer."

The lawsuit seeks at least $5 million. Harris also alleges the product's name, "Frosted Strawberry Toaster Pastries," is "false, misleading, and deceptive" because the Pop-Tart filling contains a "relatively significant amount of non-strawberry fruit ingredients" including pears and apples. The plantiff said she wanted more than a "strawberry taste," which she nevertheless "failed to receive, due to the relatively greater amount of pears and apples," according to the lawsuit.

Man! I was on a pop tarts kick earlier this year with my morning coffee. I don't think they have an iota of nutrition in them... and I gained a few pounds also.

Glad I kicked that very bad habit.

Be happy. If you want a pop tart, eat one. Live your life. Are you trying out for the Gilmore girls or something?

I hope the judge makes Anita pay Kellogg's legal costs for a frivolous lawsuit.

The fact it would even get to a courtroom is concerning.

https://www.freep.com/story/money/ca...as/6110815001/. Very interesting if correct. Sounds like a big pain in the ass. But many would switch if gasoline continues to climb and of course California in 2035. 20 - 30 min at the charger is going to create nightmare scenarios. I've seen Thanksgiving weekend on the PA Turnpike filling stations for a 5 min fill up. No way Jose

I once knew a guy that owned a restaurant and had a diesel car.

He converted the engine to be able to run on the cooking oil, so he used his restaurants old cooking oil to power his car.

Always smelled like McDonald's french fries when he drove by.

Itís actually quite easy to do. Since diesels are powered by high compression instead of high flammability you could use several things instead of gasoline.

Thing is, plug in electric vehicles are only as "green" as the source of the electricity generator. If it's a fossil fuel burning source, then how can you say zero emissions? About 10 years ago, i read something about a manufacturer (European I think) who was developing a self recharging e vehicle that was powered by natural gas. I still think that most reasonable way to cut emissions. Especially in the case of mass transit. But even the infrastructure bill as proposed still requires about a billion dollars to be spent on mass transportation that specifically is NOT zero emissions. This was a push by a group that advocates natural gas for powering mass transit, which is lower emission, but not zero emission. So the natural gas lobby got that slipped thru

point is, there is no real comprehensive plan, and there needs to be.

Seems like from climate change to immigration to education, to tax laws, there is never a comprehensive long term plan that can be agreed upon. You never get anywhere if you just keep circling the block.
