Cool.

Anybody been down there this year? Are they hard-ons about tailgating? It used to be as long as you had the beer in cups, they wouldn't hassle you. If they saw cans or bottles, it got dumped.

Got mine on the phone, section 3 row W. I also heard Meadowbrook in Guilford NH was a good place to see a show, so I think I am gonna head up for that one as well.

I was at Great Woods a couple of weeks ago for Trey Anastasio and the parking lot security was about the same, as long as you have it in a cup you're cool. Security going in was a bitch though, pretty thorough search (made me empty out everything in my pockets).

I was at Deep Purple show at the Tweeter on the 26th & had no problems with the golf police. As long as you have a cup & are of age they usually leave you alone.

I'm figuring the parking lot then for hooking up. A week or so before the show we can nail down generally where to meet, or exchange some cell numbers so that once we're in we can get in touch and get a flag or banner up or something. I'm actually cruising down with my wife, her sister and two other friends so there will be 5 of us. We'll figure it all out.

I'm planning on being there most of the day. Probably head down at 2:00 or so, maybe a bit later, but want to get down before rush hour heats up.

Still good SEATS available for this show.

    SEATS I said not Lawn.

But I'm gonna be partying on the lawn, got a BIG group going. Look for the craziest motherfucker there, and I will be right beside him.

I know they haven't really stuck to their guns on the alternating nights deal, but, Sammy is closing the show in Gilford the night before according to this press release from Meadowbrook Farm:

DAVID LEE ROTH and SAMMY HAGAR have joined forces for an unprecedented concert tour. This is the first time these legendary rock ‘n’ rollers will be sharing a stage, each performing an arsenal of hits on the co-headline road show. Hagar, the man who replaced Roth in Van Halen in 1985, certainly share a line or two on their resumes, but their joint tour is about more than that, Hagar says. “This is about making a statement.” “What we are about is a spirit, an attitude,” adds Roth. “It goes beyond the last band we were in.” Roth and Hagar will each play a 90-minute set, with Hagar closing the Meadowbrook performance. Both singers say they plan to include a heavy dose of Van Halen in their sets, underscoring the tour’s official slogan: “Song for song, the heavyweight champs of rock ‘n’ roll.”

I guess that might mean Dave is closing Great Woods. Then again it all depends on dave and how fucked up he gets. Hopefully Redrocker.com will post who is closing where soon.

Just started making plans. I plan to be there right around 3 or 4, and will probably have a nice big Tequila umbrella as a land mark for any linkers who want to come by. Should have a battery powered blender for some frozen Margaritas, and I'm sure I'll get my hands on some Cabo Wabo for some Waboritas. Still more than a month to go, damn.

Should be a crowd there! The tickets are really selling well. Nothing like the Northeast where anyone can sell out as we appreciate our music so much!

So where is everyone meeting for the Greatwood's show? Should we all hook up before in the parking lot?
