I downloaded this demo off Scour. It kicks ass!!! Wonder why it didn't make it to 5150? Maybe I'm just behind everybody else having never heard it until today.

I find it sounds alot like Good Enough, which is probably why it wasn't on 5150.

I haven't listened to it recently, but there's also a part of I Want Some Action that reminds me of Sucker In A Three Piece.

"I want some action" resurfaced in 1989 on Steve Lukather's solo album. The song was renamed "Twist The Knife". The lyrics and the melody are completely different, but the riff is the same except... it's played by Steve, not Edward. Ed plays bass on the tune. He mentioned no one else liked the riff, that's why the song didn't make it to the album.
What I'm interested about is if anyone has ever heard tunes like "Out Of The Ether" or "Between Us Two"? Have they ever resurfaced on the Net?

In particular the former, I have heard about since around the F.U.C.K. album but never actually gotten my hands on a bootleg copy...

Anyone know if these 2 songs exist in the bootleg community?

P.S. Yeah, my version of I Want Action is tinny sounding as well...It's too bad...Cause I like the song

Is it just me, or does the verse/intro to "I Want Some Action" sound like a slowed down version of the tune Ed did with G.E. Smith on the Saturday Nite Live performance?

Stompin' 8H?? Hmmmm....never really put those two together actually, Ed could have been in that 5150 mold at the time of that performance, so maybe.

I heard a guy once say that "I Want Some Action" shares a lot of riffs with "Dirty Water Dog". I guess the difference is the amount of distorition that's used.

Any thoughts??
