Its obvious that Eddie is never going to be able to get along with any singer, so why doesn't he go the route of Santana: Hiring a bunch of different singers for one album.

He could bring out some of the older stars, like Axl Rose, Dave Coverdale, Ozzy, Brett Micheals, Melissa Etheridge and Patty Smythe. (Weren't there rumours about Coverdale not too long ago, and I know Patty Smythe was the first choice before Sam in '85.)

He could bring out some guitar greats, like Slash, Clapton, Satriani, Johnny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. It could be like dueling banjos!

He could also bring out some of the younger crowd, like Scott Stapp from Creed, 3 Doors Down, Chad Krueger from Nickleback, the Dude from Days of the New, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, Puddle of Mudd, Kid Rock and Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls.

Who wouldn't want to see a duet between Eddie Van Halen and Snoop Dogg?

W.Axl No Shows Blows. Some say that Dave has lost his voice, but Axl makes Dave sound like Pavorotti. That's all Ed needs.

At this point....I don't care anymore. If eddie does decide to go the Santana route...he should just drop the Van Halen name, and call it the Eddie Van Halen experiment. If eddie has 5 years of music "in the can", then why not put some of it out. I think there are enough fans who would check it out, and who are just dying to hear the master play again.

Even the Santana route is growing old for Santana. Shaman hasn't done the same business as the first one and the song with Michelle Branch didn't really catch on the way the one with Rob Thomas did.
    Could this be magic?

A Santana type album I think would be a bad idea, for one thing it kills any chance of a tour. If Eddie were to do something outside Van Halen it should either be soundtracks, or an instrumental album. The Santana thing is old and tired, at least for me. That first song I thought was good, great singer, but I found Santana just wouldn't shut up! I find she is singing, sounding great I might add, and from out of nowhere comes this annoying 'fill' that just intrudes on the song and ruined a potentially good song. Was not a catchy hook like on the Rob Thomas song if you get where I am coming from.

If no Van Halen with just one singer, an instrumental album I think is the best course.

Zgirl....that is true. I'm pretty much turned off by the whole VH sage the last 5 years. And it would sure be nice to hear SOMETHING from Mr. Eddie Van Halen than nothing. I think he could make a kick ass solo record so us fans can hear his albums worth of material.

All of this music in my opinion is going to probably be pretty similiar to the Van Halen 3 type of stuff, because I believe I read somewhere that most of that stuff was all Eddie.

Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

I'd assume if they do an all-star album that Gary will be on it, seeing as how he's Ed's brother and sings like an angel and all . . .
