I was just scrolling through the postings. This is no longer a fansite but has been reduced to a funeral home, hosting the longest wake in history. Instead of celebrating the greatest band to have ever hailed from our side of The Atlantic, we watch four bitchy, spoiled children point the finger to anywhere but the mirror.
Alex should just shut his mouth since without Ed & David, VH would have been backing up The Stray Cats in 1983. Alex, NOONE cares about your view! All I know is that I put you in that big house of yours. I put you in that car you drive. I gave you that wife of yours. I am The Fan. Without me you would be driving a forklift in the yard of Home Depot. Remember that the next time you whine like a wimp about how you wouldn't be able to stomach a tour with DLR. In the real world, the rest of us have to work with people we cannot stand from time to time. You OWE the fans a return on their emotional investment of this band. Spoiled wimps, the four of you. Tour one time and give back just once to the people who gave you your position..........Forget the fact that you squandered the opportunity of a lifetime.

Hello there Saint. I'm just curious to know where you get all this stuff about Alex and that he should shut his mouth etc, etc. since we haven't heard anything about DLR out of his mouth since early 1998. Why rehash something like this? You make it sound as if Alex is on the horn everyday complaining about Dave.
And by the way, I'm a forklift driver at a Home Depot and I KNOW Alex wouldn't want my job

well, i drive a polehyster and i enjoy my job,where else(in the real world) can you spin tires all day,dodge other drivers,drive fast,spin around on two wheels,and bump what gets in your way and get paid for it.ofcourse i work 2nd shift...no bosses after 6o that kinda helps.as for as the title of the thread,it does seem like the vh boys break out diamond dave when theres an emergency.and the owe us thinfg,i enjoyed every album i paid for.

it is unfortunate that if someone has an opinion that it is not shared with the majority of people here, they are shut down and called ignorant, spoilt and bitchy. i couldn't agree more strongly against the tone of the lead thread, however, let someone have their say and argue the case like decent people, instead of bashing them was thoughtless words...please tell me what was ignorant about what was said and why is he/she spoilt???. i beleive the saint is incorrect in his summary of the situation...ignorant...i don't think so. this is the reason people leave this place. this is a site that is for the fans of van halen...all fans...all opinions. lets respect that and move on.
