gw to have NEW eddie interview

Hey everyone, Im new to the links but I promise to have answers to some questions. I work for a major music magazine so I do have contacts all over, one is guitar world and Brad the editor of the magazine let me know today he will have a NEW interview with eddie that will appear in the april issue. thats all for now but it is the truth and I will have more info on that and abut the guitar tech that was present during the 2000 recording sessions who now works foe gw. chow

Just to let you know he also told me that one of the guitar techs that works for GW now was at the 2000 sessions, I said ya I heard they did about three songs, He said he was told they did alot more than that but dave came in everyday a different person. he said they would never know what to expect one day he was up and ready to go and other days they were unable to get any work out of him. he also told me eddie spent alot of time with his son over the holidays.

many a little snippet from Eddie has come out over the past few years in these mags but you could always tell that it was an interview from sometime before Gary left.

The GW interview will be all new 2003!!! They were going to do it in december in time for the 25th anniversary edition but at the last minute eddie backed off. Now they are ready to go in about a week.

there's a special Eddie Van Halen edition coming

and then the NEXT month there's a new interview???



kind of a crazy way to go about it don't ya think?

Yes it is a little weird but eddie says when and where not the magazine.

that just makes no sense to me.

the one magazine that is pretty much the official unofficial EVH rag is having a big tribute to him(which he knows about) and then has an option for a new interview to put into it but decides to put a new interview in the NEXT issue

does he just want to be in two different issues or did he not see the coolness in putting a new one in the special magazine.

(I keep hearing that "other people's realities" in my head for some reason)

The guys at GW were trying to get a interview with eddie for some time, the guy is just not talking. The 25th anniversary edition is old stuff some never before seen but eddie does everything in his own time.

These guitar magazines would love to have Eddie on the cover every other month. Each Eddie cover gives them about a 25% or more boost in sales. People who normally don't read GW or Guitar or whatever will pick up an Eddie cover issue.

I havent heard anything about this. Not that I know every move GW makes but I only know of the stuff coming up in the March 2003 that hits the stands next week... Maybe Eddie finally decided to give a new interview.. Just keep your eyes and ears open and we will hear if it is happening I suppose...
