Wow, I was so excited. I downloaded this clip of DLR in Dallas '99 singing "So This Is Love." He sang the whole song great...well, he did forget the words, but he sounded so confident. Then, in the last main verse of "ain't lettin' go....", Roth choked. It makes me so mad when I'm listening to Dave nail the last note and then all of the sudden his voice cracks. It's just like mine when I sing at a certain point. When I hit high notes, my voice will either barely hit them, or crack. It sucks, but it's really sad when it happens to a rock star you idolize. It's happened to him a couple times on some of the sound clips I've downloaded. What's up with his voice? I feel bad hearing this...it's just plain upsetting...and don't say it's little, because I've heard it happen a lot of times in the '99 tour. Check the song out on Napster...he talks for a while before the song.

NaJ, I downloaded some of Dave's songs from the '99 tour and his voice is pretty good for the most part.

I think that more than anything, the tour was a warm-up for what is taking place now.

On the upcoming tour, I bet he'll be back to his old form, once again.

I think that Dave gotta practise quite to his voice if he wanna tour with Van halen ! ... But , seeing him in two videos that i got , I forget about his problems with voice , because on the stage he's still a rock-star , he jump like a 20 years guy ! ... He's the man again : he'll be the man again !

Well, you're right there. For the most part, he does sound great...other than the Finland concert...it just seems that he always has a problem hitting the high notes...we'll have to see what he can do on the new VH album...I'm sure he'll sound great!
