I just spoke by telephone with Karen Eggert, the Van Halen CD winner. She'll be giving me an e-mail to let me know who signed those cd's. Keep watching, I'll let you know.

I'll take a "thank-you" now for letting you all know that Sammy interview was real a couple weeks ago, too.

Good job man! But I've gotta agree with Brett about Daves signature. We all know about the FULLY "oh shit I fucked up!" AUTOGRAPHED slip of Brads at the official site. The words weren't amended for the sake of brevity. Know what I mean? If Daves name is on those discs, it'll also be on the next VH album.

funny thing is.. if dave's name is NOT on those CDs(which would be a slap in the face) it'll STILL be on the NEXT VH CD!

By the way, how did you find out how to contact her? (just curious)

On another note, I DO think Dave's signature will be on the CD's. IMHO, it doesn't make sense to make the contest winner suffer for the band's personal conflicts. WB can always play the middle man (which I'm sure they are anyway) if there is a problem between Dave & the boys on the signage.
I mean, wouldn't it be weird without all the signatures considering this is coming from the Official Van Halen Website? I mean, Dave was a part of Van Halen for those 6 CD's, right?

Well, I guess one thing is for sure, if Dave's signature isn't on the CD's, then I guess things don't look good for the future.

Can't wait to hear from Karen to know for sure.

I just talked with Karen a few moments ago and she said that she hasn't gotten the CD's yet, but she'll let me/us know whenever they come in. She's a real nice lady and a quiet one as well...I felt like a real heel calling her out of nowhere and asking for an answer. She was sweet about it, though, and said she'd let me know. I told her to swing by the Links sometime and say hello and we promised not to bite!

She's actually about 3-4 hours south of me here in Missouri and she and her husband have had a lot of good fortune with other VH giveaways! Some people have all the luck!

Anyway, if I hear anything I'll let you know, but hopefully Karen will join our ranks!

She's in southern MO, not quite in Razorback country! (Go Hogs!!) Hopefully a lot of people won't flood her with the question(s) we all would like the answer to. I told her if she felt like I was intruding, she could tell me to go take a flying leap. She laughed about it and told me when she got the CD's, she'd e-mail me. I think she told badkar the same thing. We should know soon...

I bet that there is some sort of gag order until the band makes it official where Karen can't say anything.

i doubt the gag order,if it had been me,as soon as i got the cd's...yall would know who signed them,as im sure shel tell us,i dont think they would ask her not too,any case,i doubt that dave signed them,if he had there should have been an announcement on the nineteenth.
