Hall of Fame?

If this has been discussed before, then please accept my apologies.

But, 2003 just might be a good year for us.

Van Halen is eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. And, surely, SURELY, they'll get inducted in their first year of eligibility.

All members of Van Halen, past and present, would be inducted (yes, even Gary Cherone).

I think it's safe to assume that they'll all be in attendance (with the exception of perhaps Gary). But, Dave and Sammy will undoubtedly be there, as will Ed, Al and Mike.

Hopefully it would be a catalyst to start a reunion of some sort. But, if nothing else, we'll finally get to see the members of Van Halen together on stage again...

i'd hedge my bet on Cherone getting in. there were some members of Santana that didn't get inducted. it's all politics, and i don't think anyone would say Cherone made an important enough contribution to the band's history. maybe Ed will say "all of us get in, or we don't do it," i dunno...

I don't think Van Halen will be getting in anytime soon. Not that they don't deserve it, but because the selection committee does not look at Van Halen like the rest of us do. There a tons of solid rock bands yet to be inducted while other one hit wonders and bands with smaller resumes continue to get inducted each year. RUSH and KISS are 2 big names which should be in already.
