Of course Spin is crap, but it's nice to see VH being in the list:
01 Guns N Roses-Appetite For Destruction
02 Led Zeppelin-Untitled
03 Black Sabbath-Paranoid
04 Metallica-Master Of Puppets
05 AC DC-Back In Black
06 Van Halen-Van Halen
07 Led Zeppelin-Led Zeppelin II
08 Kiss-Alive II
09 Tool-Aenima
10 Judas Priest-British Steel
11 Motley Crue-Shout At The Devil
12 Rage Against The Machine-Battle Of Los Angeles
13 Slayer-Reign In Blood
14 Black Sabbath-Vol 4
15 Korn-Follow The Leader
16 Def Leppard-Pyromania
17 AC DC-Highway To Hell
18 Aerosmith-Rocks
19 Motorhead-No Remorse
20 Poison-Look At What The Cat Dragged In
21 Megadeth-Peace Sells
22 Blue Cheer-Vincebus Eruptum
23 Queens Of The Stone Age-Rated R
24 Iron Maiden-The Number of The Beast
25 Van Halen-1984
26 Ozzy Osbourne-Blizzard Of Ozz
27 Soundgarden-Badmotorfinger
28 Bon Jovi-Slippery When Wet
29 Alice In Chains-Dirt
30 Sepultra-Roots
31 Deep Purple-Machine Head
32 David Lee Roth-Eat Em And Smile
33 Danzig-Danzig II:Lucifuge
34 Ratt-Out Of The Cellar
35 Ministry-The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste
36 Kyuss-Blues For The Red Sun
37 Skid Row-Skid Row
38 System Of A Down-Toxicity
39 Kid Rock-Devil Without A Cause
40 Tenacious D-Tenacious D
I'll put VH1 #2 in my personal list. If 1984 is there, I feel that FUCK, VH2 and 5150 have to be there too.
I like hairbands but Ratt at 34... it's pushing it a bit too far. Tenacious D made the list... signs that the world is coming to an end... this is a sign that says "Even though VH reunited with Sam and Dave, they won't sell shit"

If 1984 is metal, than so is Phil Collins's "No Jacket Required"

I agree with most of the list with one HUGE exception. As a good as 'Appetite for Destruction' was, I can't see it being #1. I would rank it definitely in the Top 10 and maybe in the Top 5 but no way #1.

The term "Metal", as in Heavy Metal, has many different subcategories, and VH came out in 1978 they were considered a Heavy Metal band. VH are a Rock N Roll band, a Hard Rock band, and in terms of histroy, at leats the Roth years, they were a Heavy Metal band(I know I thought of them as being a Metal band back then...)
Hell, The Who were considered Metal back in the 60's...it's all relative guys...
WOW!! Three Roth albums in the top 32, pretty kool!!!
Slayer = Thrash Metal
Poison = Hard Rock or Glam Metal
Van Halen(Roth years) = Hard Rock or Heavy Metal
Iron Maiden = Heavy Metal
Judas Priest = Heavy Metal
Led Zeppelin = Hard Rock or Heavy Metal
Korn = Nu Metal
Motorhead = KICK ASS Heavy Metal

That's really a subjective list Spin made there. What do you guys think should be number 1? I'm gonna go with Led Zeppelin-Runes.

I like bragging about ramen noodles but they really are the bomb. I'm always on the lookout for perking them up. Cheetos are now very popular. So are Cheese Its and Goldfish. When it's late night and...
McDonalds, and be honest.
