Peace Rallies and War Protests....

....are being reported almost daily by CNN and MSNBC on their running news tickers. There is a time for diplomacy and a time to stomp some ass. This situation we're all in is clearly the latter.
I really don't think these protesters have a clue of what's really going on or what kind of people we are dealing with. I'm glad the news organizations aren't giving them too much coverage.

That's part of what we defend our Constitution for, to protect their way of life even though some of us don't like it.

I'd wager virtually all these people have never stepped outside US soil. All they need to do is protest in Afghanistan (or any 3rd World country that don't like the US, which may be all of 'em)--they'll change their tune in a hurry!

Hey I am not personally in favor of protesting our military actions, I say BOMB The fucking Taliban!!!!

HOWEVER it always kills me to hear some people alternatively love and praise our country for being a DEMOCRATIC system that allows freedome of speech, and then alternatively, bitch and moan when someone or some people choose to use that very freedom to voice a belief contrary to their own.

Give me a break! These people have a right to protest! Would you rather we live in a Police State, where we are oppressed by the governing state and NOT allowed to voice our opinion?????

the funny thing is - it's easy to protest when you have not been personally affected.

anyone who protests our current military action obviously has ignored what it must have been like to make the decision to jump from 100 stories to avoid burning to death from 2000 degree heat because some ASSHOLE slammed a plane into your office while you were reporting for work.

how about the poor orphans, widows, and parents who don't even have the opportunity to bury their beloved?

I've seen some of the protests over here too.
While it's true, they do have the right to protest, I've seen muslims walking with banners, protesting, while a bunch of white kids dance around chanting and laughing like it's the sixties. They (the kids)have no clue whatsoever, and it's clear to see they're completely untouched by what happened.
If it was their parents, children, or close relatives that were buried under tons of brick, I wonder how many of those little asswipes would be dancing around like it's some sort of game.
They're simply too stupid to understand that more attacks are possibly, or probably imminenent everywhere.
I think there's a time to protest and a time to shut the fuck up and stand up for your country, whether you were born here, or the gates were opened to let you in.

You know, when I started this thread, I never intended it to be a debate on whether these people have the right to protest or not. Obviously they do. Some of you people went off half-cocked [img]smilies/scared.gif[/img] thinking I was advocating that they didn't have the right. Not my intention.

However, my point was that these people are seriously disillusioned if they think: 1) their protests are going to change current policy, or 2) diplomacy will get these terrorist jackasses to put down their weapons and get them to play like good little boys. Like VanEdge said, it's easy to protest when you haven't been personally affected.

I understand and see what you mean there.... I would agree with you on that statement in your last post Brian. It IS futile to protest using any force to stop these madmen and instead "turn the other cheek" and wait for the next American building to be hit with a commerical plane.

I support our military actions in Afghanistan (and wherever else we end up going) to stop these radical, extremist, cold blooded, cowardly, killers.

Having voiced my opinion on that specific matter of military action or not, I still say on a seperate issue, that these protesters are entitled to voice their opinion as well. I wouldn't want it any other way, even as I stand here in disagreement with them.

That's what I love about my country!

I have the right to say the protesters should SHUT THE FUCK UP, too. I got every right to piss & moan about others viewpoint, just like they do mine!

I hear ya NE169. You absolutely have every right to counter these protesters with your own opinion. No question about it! I just never want to live in a country that doesn't allow conflicting opinions voiced. And the good news for me is, as long as I live in the United States Of America, I will never have to worry about that.

Personally I am loving seeing these various military and other targets being bombed to shit over there in Afghanistan. I'm watching the 6:30 EST news right now and they just showed some of our 5,000 pound "bunker buster" bombs hitting some big targets near Kubal and the explosions that are shooting into the sky are delightful to watch IMO!!!!

WooHOO!!! Keep bombing the Hell outta them!!!!!!

These protesters don't have a clue. No sense of history; no sense of right and wrong. They sure think they do, but they don't look beyond Vietnam. Short-sighted, stupid motherfuckers in search of a cause.

Every god damn time the US goes into another country anymore we hear that idiotic 'racist war' chant. Don't these people understand that geography largely determines the color of a person's skin in Europe, Africa, and Asia? Just because someone's skin is a different color or their religion from a different book doesn't mean you can't blow the shit out of them. You just can't blow the shit out of them for those particular differences.

In this case we're going after people who have hurt us and will continue to hurt us!

i fully support bombing the shit out of the taliban, what worries me is the deaths of innocent civilians. i believe that this is what many of the protesters are worried about as well.
i am delighted to hear that the taliban has been essentially dismantled because of the air strikes, but i cringed when i heard that civilian lives were lost because of it.
you obviously can't call this a racist war, that's just ignorant.

Here's how to get through to those peace-monkies exactly how foolish they are being (note-this is a hypothetical situation...don't try this at home, kids):

Go to a peace rally. Flash someone the peace symbol. When they flash it back, sucker punch them as hard as you can. If they swing back, point out that they are giving in to violence, and are therefore a hypocrite. If they try to peacefully talk to you about what you did, punch them again. Every time they open their mouth, punch them again. And again and again. Once they're down for the count, remind them that this is the same situation that happened in the terrorist attacks, and that a peaceful resolution is NOT the answer. When they finally realize that there is no possible peaceful response, hit them one last time for good measure.

What SHOULD become obvious to all of them is that a violent aggressor is NOT going to be swayed by anything short of a physical retaliation. Sure, you'll go to jail for assault and battery, but as an example, it's very effective. Keep in mind, if the peaceniks all stand around and try to 'reason' with you, they are letting an innocent victim get the shit beat out of them. If they physically defend your chosen victim, then they have completely exposed for all to see their complete lack of sincerity for their 'cause'.

The moral of the story is simple: over 6,000 people were sucker-punched on the highest level, and many more were lucky to get away with their lives and a scarred body. To even consider that peace is a possible solution is ridiculous. Peace went out the window once that first plane flew IN the window.

To protest against the military actions being taken does NOT serve any purpose other than to stir MORE trouble, and they know it. That sort of thinking was the undoing of the US military efforts in Vietnam. It causes more harm than anything else.

While they have the 'right' to say whatever the hell they want, they have ZERO credibility, and ZERO common sense. Unfortunately, the media keeps giving these assholes airtime, and along with it, a sense of accomplishment. The anti-US movements worldwide must be sitting back getting a good laugh over stories like that on the news; it just shows them how many weak-minded fools we have here. As a result, it just opens the doors to further attacks, as per the sucker-punch scenario above.

If they want to protest, fine. But for the news to cover it like they do, that just fuels the enemy's fire. And THAT is why they need to shut the fuck up, shove those peace signs up their asses, and keep their foolishness in private. It only gives the enemy MORE incentive to attack again.
