SDRadio reports an interview with Eddie Van Halen where they called Eddie @ 5150 and asked to talk to Valerie so they could wish her a happy birthday and Eddie flipped out, cursing, because he forgot it was Val's birthday... [img]smile.gif[/img]

Then he went on to NOT answer the Sammy/Dave question...

Then he says I'm in the studio right now and working on music and will be TOURING SOON.

Whew!

Little Tommy called Eddie's recording studio (5150) and Eddie answered the phone. So, IF he is spending all of his time these days being daddy and the perfect husband, how the hell does he possibly forget Val's birthday? I don't buy it at all. All you husbands KNOW what I am talking about...

AND he might be writing music, but with no lead singer named David Lee Roth, I ain't a buyin'. So what, you say right? I bet there are plenty of people that bought VH3 that wouldn't buy a VH4, mark my words. That next cd would sell about as many as Jagger's last one. OUCH!!!

I'm assuming it BS for 2 reasons.

1) I really dont think Ed would forget his wifes B-day..

2) Who is he going to tour with? Himself. He has no singer. If he does it is quite a secret. He has no label. His bass player is recording with Sammy and Alex lives by himself in an igloo on a mountain top in Nepal. That's just a guess.

This, for some reason, brings to mind the Eddie NAMM video from last year. He said something about taking the new Wolfgangs on tour and testing them out.

Maybe =VH= does have some kind of a plan that doesn't include any former lead singers and they're keeping quiet until they're ready.

Hey, I'm a great wife and I forget things too. Ask me how many years I've been married and I couldn't tell you because I can't remember the year to save my life. Things like Valentine's Day creep up on me, but that sort of stuff doesn't make or break our relationship. And maybe he was joking. And I thought Jagger's last CD, which I own and listen to frequently, was great, and I've never liked his solo stuff.

If Ed is in the studio and getting ready to go on tour, just himself, I am going to freak out! This would be the best news. Who wouldn't pay top dollar to see Ed in a club or small venue doing what he does best? If y'all don't go, then I'm guaranteed the best seat in the house.

About the Jagger thing, I was trying to make a point about cd sales. I haven't heard the Jagger cd. Is it pretty decent?

As for watching them tour, I won't go see just Ed play guitar. I love a great guitar player, but it takes more than that for me.
