Alright. This has gone on FAR TOO LONG!

I'm [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore! Boys, it's time to shit or get off the the fuckin pot! It's time for action! RIGHT NOW, just like the damn song says. Not in the Fall, not in 2002, or the year after that. Fuck it, we've been through that before! RIGHT FUCKIN' NOW!

I'll be the first to admit that I've been a proponent of "they don't owe us anything" and "Ed should take his time and get healthy", but it's starting to look like it's not Cancer that's threatening Ed's life anymore, it's OLD AGE! I don't know for sure if Ed's suffering any pain from his affliction, but from what I've seen, he seems to be doin' OK. Personally, I know that I'd have to be on my death bed and totally immobilized before someone could pry my guitar out of my hands! I think that once again, it's time to start the ignition and make that fuckin' Van Halen Engine SCREAM!!!

How disturbing is the vision of all these great fans, still waiting for news 10,20, or 30 years from now? Many of us will be a bunch of old cane sporting, white-haired, bladder-control problem, prune-eating, TV Guide reading, memory lapsing, old farts. Yet, we'll still be here, we'll still be Van Halen fans(or most will). At that point, it sure would be nice to look back and have at least one more record to cherish.
