Now I'm pissed off!

Remember I asked all yiou guys to help vote Jump or Hot For Teacher into a "top 1000 rock songs" thing at my local radio station?

Well they just posed their top 500 (without the top 20) and Jump came in at a dissapointing 100! I'm pissed off. Shitty songs like "pretty fly (for a white guy)" by the ever so talentless Offspring beat Van Halen! How can this be? I should have known though, there is no real rock station here in Sydney - I would have expected the useless rocker wannabe's in Sydney to Vote for shit "image only" bands. Fucking drives me insane!!!

Last Year VH peaked at 31 with Jump. Robbed!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing that you aren't really too pissed off about this, but if you are, try not to worry about it. I never listen to the radio because all I care about is what I want to listen to. It's just timing, if Dave comes back and they do this poll again in a year, VH will have moved up on the list.

BTW, I voted a VH song in that poll for you, so I tried to do my part, too bad we came up short.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure that they played "jump" quite a lot during the olympic games, especially during the winning ceremonies. That kinda promotion should have helped, no?

Don't be too pissed of Romeo. It's all good! Crank up some VH, crack open a brew, and remember this. "A little Van Halen on TV, is better than no Van Halen at all!" The word has been spread, and the spread has been WORD! Van Halen WILL rise again! Out.

Thanks guys - I'm starting to calm down now. I just wish this rock station would go one way or the other - either be a REAL rock station or don't be. At the moment its sitting on the fence trying to offend as little people than it can.

Thanks to everybody that voted - You did well! Don't think I'm blaming you guys for not voting enough - that's not my intention at all!

Glenn I think I'm gonna have to adopt your view and just make VH tapes and stack 'em up in the glove box! Your right about next year if the reunion is on. VH will get so much publicity - this cheezy radio station will have to let them do well.

SToRM, I think they played Jump quite a bit through the beach volleyball but I didn't hear it much in other sports. I was a proud man when I heard it on the Beach Volleyball!
