Van Halen: "The Book!"

What I have wanted to see for a long time is a Van Halen book biography. A well-written and researched book that would delve into the origins of the band and the backstories of the members.

I would love it to be something along the lines of Stephen Davis' "Hammer Of The Gods", which chronicled Led Zeppelin. A good piece of journalism that would present all sides of the issue, particularly in regards to the splits with Roth and Hagar.

Maybe someday we'll all be reading this and sparring over it in this forum! You may see this book before a new Van Halen album at the rate they're going!

I stumbled across a paperback called Van Halen : Exess All Areas a few years back.
Its only 144 pages, about 2/3 of which are pictures. If I ever get a scanner I'll post some of the pics.
