You guys are forgetting Just one thing. Yes, DLR is greasing his pockets with Classic VH $$$, but other than VH1 airing classic VH,
Diamond Dave is the only one pushing the first 6 albums to the next generation of listeners, who are going out to pick up Classic VH, thereby supporting ED, AL, and Mike
As they all get royalties from those albums. SO, Who is representing The Old School VH, and in my opinion The REAL VH Albums...Ill Tell ya Who:

Everyone always seems to forget another point about this same argument over and over again...

They're his songs too!
His name appears on the writing credits along with Eddie, Alex, and Mike.
Dave has every right to play his songs with his band, just like VH has every right to play the same songs with another singer. So he lined his pockets with HIS songs...get it straight.

He has every right to play VH songs but what is sad is that is all he plays. 25+ years in music and you performs songs from only 7 of those years and the most recent is more than 15 years old.

I say more power to DLR for playing old VH live but at least try to save face and find a few songs from the last decade that your arn't embarrassed to play along with some great classic.

Dave has every right to play HIS songs. But he is also doing his true fans an injustice by not playing the other songs he has done over the years. You know, the ones that caused his fans to buy his solo albums. I wish he played more of his own songs on the Sam & Dave tour as well. Let him show the fans that he is more than just a card carrying member of the "Ex-Van Halen Lead Singer's Club."

Thing is, David Lee Roth hasn't any true fans. Oh sure there's a few here and there, but for the most part, his only fans are Classic Van Halen fans. I'm willing to bet 90% of the fans who come to one of his shows (that's about 360 [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) care only to hear VH stuff...
