Singer No. 4 may not be a reality. Ed just reiterated what he's been saying since Sammy left, and that is "He'd never do a reunion tour without a new album" plain and simple. Of course no .4 would seem to be the way to go.

I put my money on Ralph Senaz. The guy is extremely talented but who knows? Eddie will probably get tired of whoever No4 too after a few albums

Maybe Billy Idol would be really cool. I'd like that.
P.S. Huey Lewis rocks How to make a “Mad Anthony”

Juice from a fresh Lime
A generous dollop of Mad Anthony’s Hot Sauce

Yes, yes Sam seems to have a level head
If you haven't read this, it's a must. Sam claims not only was he visited numerous times but they down loaded his brain!
I think all of them are quite off center!

Ok to play your game cause I hate topics that go awry, I will pick a few possibilities that I know about and am familiar with:
Sebastion Bach, Steve Perry, Billy Idol,
and Roger Daltry would be my frontrunners for auditions and lessee, Rod Stewart could sing all the love songs...Hey how about Rob Halford? He would make a great front man AND if is killer range Ed is looking for, he has it!
Maybe it is hope, maybe it is truly belief, but I do not think it is a reality that number 4 is going to be the way to go.
I honestly believe (or want to) that there is some good left in Dave, but he is so damn good at sticking his foot all the way up to his ass into his mouth. That is part of what I love about Dave, but being part of a band, you have to consider band family and they come first and you circle the wagons and shoot outward, not inward.
Yes, yes Sam seems to have a level head, but he is an opportunist as well and just like the "inevitable reunion" comment, that is just something he is repeating BECAUSE Dave said it. I find it difficult to write this because I want Dave in first and last and foremost, but Sam would be ok back in VH IF and only IF he would lay off the "Love" lyrics.
They don't have to "Live out the songs that they write" (Registered trademark of Bocephus).
Singer number 4 will flop just like with Gary. (Gary got a bad rap for such a great guy). It is either Dave or Dave or Dave or Sam or Dave and Sam with the almighty VH or nuttin
))))for me((((
Dang, I must have the day off or something to write a long post like this...."Knowing is not enough, we must apply, willing is not enough, we must do" -Goethe

MOJODOJO, are you serious or is this a joke?!?! Do you have a link? What I would like to see if this is true that he thinks this is how many instant alien believers we have. Kinda like how many instant "Linkiln Park sucks anyways" comments...

i honestly don't think a 4th singer would fail just because they aren't dave/sammy. if vh were to bring in an established singer of a younger generation (eg dave grohl like subway suggested) then that person would probably bring more NEW fans to vh than would be lost from established fans. of course the music would have to be good and produced properly! but it could open up vh to the dreaded mtv audience that buy most of the records nowadays.
i don't want to see them turn into what aerosmith have become but at the same time i don't want future releases to only satisfy a small section of diehard fans.
just a thought.....if the incidents surrounding pete townshend mean the end of the who, that'll leave roger daltry without a band

JMO...But if there is a singer #4 it will be someone that isn't a Rock-n-Roll Retread...It will be someone like Mitch Malloy...Jeff Scott-Soto...someone like that.
Van Halen....2003??? In television if your on hiatus this long it's means you have been cancelled and nobody told ya.Has VH Been Cancelled and no ones telling us?? C'mon Ed give us a break and give us an update...

This whole VH saga is turning or going to turn into the movie Rockstar for crying out loud!! Bring in the next singer and out goes the other one thru the revolving door. Sure bring in someone young and make the rest of the guys look like geriatrics for god's sake. I just say, if it isn't Roth or Hagar then just move on to something else. Ed just needs to get over the whole nostaglia trip problem he has and just swallow his pride and get going.
