What is the big deal with Ray Daniels?

So why is he always mentioned when something recently goes wrong with Van Halen?
I'm hearing a lot of like where he makes more money off DLR Van Halen stuff than Mike does, where he is the moron holding everything back. So what is the deal? And did VH fire him?

In short, he was the manager that screwed Van Halen over beginning with the '96 fiasco. He is now using the legal process to try and keep Van Halen quiet, it seems.

I'm sure F.O.R.D. could explain it much better than me, but he's put the band and fans on a very bad trip. He used his position to instigate trouble between band members for his own gain. He has no clue as to what Van Halen is all about.
