I was on Napster today and found a song called 'Twist The Knife' which is a piece by Steve Lukather and Eddie. The intro and main riff is identical to 'I Want Some Action'. Anyone know what year this came out???

You can get it from me - my Napster name is 'havelka5150'. Check it out - the sound quality is great!!!

It's from Steve's album called "Lukather", which came out in 1989; Eddie also co-produced that album.

I haven't heard Twist the Knife, but it's supposed to be a reworked version of Stompin 8H from Eddie's SNL appearance.

There's also apparently a riff from Stompin 8H on Dirty Water Dog, though I couldn't tell you which one it is.

'Twist The Knife' is definitely from 'I Want Some Action'. I've been listening to it alot lately - it's a pretty good tune. Check it out . . . .

I love "I Want Some Action", but I don't think I like "Twist the Knife" that much. "Action" sounds more live than "Knife" to me. Eddie's all over the place in "Action", where as in "knife", he's more controlled. I like the Sammy's vocal style more too. The drum outro in "Action" can't be beat either in my opinion.
