Christmas album finished — 28 June 2002
Steve Lukather has just finished the Christmas album which will now be titled "SANTAmental". Besides Jeff Babko, John Piece and Gregg Bissonette it features a whole bunch of special guest players: Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Edgar Winter, Trevor Lukather, Simon Phillips, Scott Hamilton, Lenny Castro, and "Sammy". Luke says, "I think people are really gonna love this record. It has something for everyone. Great playing and arrangements and there is humour as well. I am very proud of it especially since it only took 6 days to do!" Elliot Scheiner is mixing the record at his "Eyeball Studios" for a tentative late September or October release. Achievements:
Kuke does a really good Sammy Davis Jr. impression so that is probably it. THis wouldn't cause any delay with a Van Halen project. He probably just went in and soloed over an already completed rythm track.
