help I'm confused (10-13)

I am not a Sammy hater, yes I like dave better for VH, but I am a huge sammy fan also.

People are saying 10-13 is great but then compare it to MTM. I thought MTM was Sammy's lamest work up until that point. It did not have one song that I thought rocked or had emotion to it.

So which is it, is 10-13 good or a waste of my money.

guess I will have to buy it regardless and make my own descision.

It's all opinion. I've been listening to the new Sammy album since it leaked on Larster (

) and I think it's great. The first half is the best, then there's a few weaker tunes and then Tropic of Capricorn ends it in great fashion. But to me, it's nowhere near as good as Marching to Mars, which is by far my favorite Sammy album.

Pretty sure that doesn't help, but it's my opinion.

Here's your answer:

It musically Rocks much more than MTM.
I love MTM, but have to admit that many of those tunes while great, where not exactly uptempo.

This album IS almost ALL uptempo songs that really rock.

This album is more closely related to Standing Hampton (musically) then Marching To Mars.

LYRICALLY, this song is a mix between the heavy messages found in Marching To Mars and the lighter "fluff lyrics" found in Red Voodoo.

Jeez, I don't know if I helped here or not....

Just buy the album. You'll like it.

well, I just got it and am listening to it at work (shhh dont tell anyone)
I have to say that BrokenComb seems to hit it closest to me. This is more the old sammy finally. I did not like MTM or voodoo, but this is just good rock music. so far so good.

only 3 songs heard so far though.

To me the best rocker Sammy has done in a long time

Overall I say this is a much more solid effort for Sam. Not perfect, but certainly WAY above "average"

well thats a tough question for me to answer, yea I think it is pretty good, and the sammy fans were pretty honest out here about what kind of album it was. Do I think I will listen to it a lot, probably not, but only because I listen to much more guitar oriented stuff like dream theater and LTE and YJM and vai ect...

My point I guess was that if you like sammy , then this is some of his better stuff. I would recommend it to anyone who likes good streight up rock music.

Am I glad I got it, yes. If for nothing else, I now know who is closed minded around here.
