cool VH reference yesterday night

There's a show on MTV Brasil called "The Worst Video" where the host presents several videos from different bands making fun of them… Every show has a "theme"… Guitars, Hair Cuts, Women, Boys Bands, choreography, Kisses were some of the "themes" already scheduled… Last night, the show's "theme" was…: "SUBSTITUTES" and guess who started the program???

YES!!! VAN HALEN!!! They begin to play "Without You", and the guy started:

"Yeah, In their 25 year history Van Halen has done just one thing more than good music: they look for substitute singers. First they fired David Lee Roth, they had to find a substitute… they got Sammy Hagar, the substitute… but after 10 years, guess what… they wanted to find a substitute for the substitute… they fired Sammy and got Gary Cherone, that substituted Extreme for Van Halen… now… well, now it gets even more complicated, they fired Gary… they want to find a substitute for the substitute for the substitute… Well, it's about time for us to substitute this video for anther one…"

And the program went on with others bands videos… the cool thing is that they made fun of Van Halen but they didn't disrespected the band… it was a cool reference and a kind of tribute.

Actually, what they were saying is true. The lead singer substitute is still going on. Hopefully, this substitute will be one that was substituted for back in 1985. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

if the substitute was replaced for the one he once substituted, this means that the substitute was ideed the one that was substituted...
