Sammy on the X-Show!

I am watching the X-show on FX, and they just did a segment on Sammy, at his house in San Fran. cool ass segment.

He has a great wine cellar and he talks a little bit about the VH thing, the guys ask is Eddie a ass hole, and Sammy says no. Then the guy ask is Eddie crazy, and Sammy says Eddie is not a "real socialible guy", what ever that means.


The guy asked about the whole VH thing and Sammy says it was like 4 years ago.

Here is a quote"The problem is with the Van Halen stuff is it was such a great trip for like ten years, and then the last year was so ugly, and it became it's,... like a great movie and it has a horible ending...""you get up with this bad taste in your mouth."

It goes on from there, but nothing much was said.He does say that Eddie is a "special guitar player"

Sammy, once again showed class by not being a dick towards VH, once again Sammy shows that he is a cool ass guy.


I have this on video if anyone can make it so all can see, let me know.

I remember when Sammy was interviewed about his tequila and he was asked "what's worse, bad tequila or Van Halen?" He pretty much took the high road and I think that's for the best. It's time for all of the key players in the entire Van Halen saga to just respect each other. Not necessarily like each other, but respect each other.

Yeah I think they all respect each other. At least they should by now. Sammy did what he should of. No need to dog VH. Sam respects Vh and Vh should do the same for Sam

That sounded like a great show Bigdog. That was great how he answered those questions about VH. That showed class like you said. What happened to his home in Hawaii? I thought he used to live there.

I think he rents a place in Hawaii with a few other people.

Sammy has every reason to be bitter. I mean they kicked HIM out of the band and never gave a real reason why. But he's not bitter, which show's how MUCH class the guy has.

Mard, VH kicked him out and they never gave him a reason? Please go back and read up on both sides account of what happen. Sammy know dam well why he aint in VH. I know this thread is not about Sammy and the VH breakup, but come on.

I think there's two sides to this coin and
Sammy probably has chosen to look at the
whole issue as a "blessing in disguise"

I watched the clip. I'm not trying to piss anyone off here, and I don't keep up with Sammy but, He looked kinda fat to me. Has he gained weight lately? I know he's short so just a few pounds would show up quickly. Maybe it was just what he was wearing, but I've never seen him look fat. Don't matter anyway.

On the TV clip, I thought he looked pretty good for a 52 year old, maybe a couple more pounds than in the past, but once he goes on tour I think it will go away quickly, IMO.
