What a guitar solo. Possibly Ed's best ever. A topic on Ed's best guitar solos was posted a while back and I mentioned that my favorite was from Somebody Get Me a Doctor! But after listening to Feelin' again, I can't believe the fluidity and quickness and skill all packaged into 1 solo! Ed displays a number of techniques and styles of playing - gives me chills!

Achievements:
I can't say that I've paid a ton of attention to the guitar solo, but I love the song. The tone on the intro makes the hair on my arms stand up. It's a great song to listen to when you're having a tough time.

Great song and a hell of a solo!

Definately Eddie's best guitar solo IMO. A great song too!

This is without a doubt, the Sammy era equivalent to "Runnin' with the Devil." An anthem of Van Halen anthems. My favorite Sammy song ever. It's funny, the volume to chills ratio is directly related.

Yeah, this one is a def-con 5 on the chill factor that is for shure. And Big Al doesn't exactly have an easy part to play during the guitar solo. Killer. Out

The title says it all. There are a couple of different feelings I have when I listen to the song. I'm reflective in the beginning but by the end, I am pumped up!!! Then the end comes and I'm mellow.

I liked Ed's tone on the entire album. Al's drumming was crystal clear, and Mike's bass was surprisingly audible.
Bruce Fairbairn knew what he was doing, peeps.
"Feelin'" is an underrated song, IMO. Great intro, riff, and solo. And track 5 is right (as usual ) when he points out Al's break-neck (pun intended ) pace on the solo.
The song mellows out at the very end leaving you with a kind of unsettled feeling.
It's interesting to note that this was the last Sammy song on a VH album (other than "Humans Being" on BOV1).
Says a lot about where things were heading...

I don´t like the guitar sound. In Balance EVH didn´t use any effects to bring out a different sound in solos as he has done in the past. All the songs just seem "flat" to me, sorry.

That is a fantastic solo!! Possibly the best of the Sammy era, but I'm not sure.
