VH T-shirts

Hi all,

Am new to the forums, but am wondering where I can get hold of a particular VH T-shirt... it's the one from one of the Bill & Ted's movies, with the large mushroom cloud and "Van Halen" in large letters on the back. I forget what the front logo was. I had one of these circa 1985, but a girlfriend that didn't like the shirt threw it out - of course she's now an ex-girlfriend! I've tried searching the net, and have found plenty of VH t-shirts, but not this particular one. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. I belive the shirt you are refering to was from the 5150 tour. It had the band on the front all in straight jackets(Like the sleve from the why can't this be love 45), and on the back it hade the mushroom cloud. That was my first concert tee from my first VH concert at the worcester centrum, Aug 12th 1986. I still have the shirt, but am keeping it for sentimental reasons. Besides, I was 15 when I bought it and now it is so small that I doubt it would fit a 12 year old! Concert shirts are also made pretty cheap so the material is pretty thin. Keep hunting on e-bay, I am sure one will come up. Good luck to you.

C'mon. The guy wants it. You don't have to diss him and tell him your keeping it. Just sell it to him for $500 and call it even... Damn Whippersnappers...

Judging by the material it is made of, I am amazed that it has not rotted into ashes yet! Considering I wore it alot during ninth grade so everyone knew I went, It is amazing that it is still in one piece. Ahhhhh memories.

No kiddin'. I got mine in Peoria during the 5150 tour in '86 and wore it until it literally fell to pieces. Dang, I miss that shirt.

I have an OU812 tour shirt that my Mom found for me, and it's really thin and too small for me now. It has the album cover on the front and the VH hand sign on the back.

I think the reason that she threw the shirt out was because of the number of holes in it!!! Extra ventilation I kept telling her, but what do I know?!?! Surely there must be a market for a rerun of these T-shirts?

Old VH shirts rule...

One of my online friends sent me an extra large, obnoxiously loud hot pink shirt that looks like the "FUCK" cover, except the =VH= and "for unlawful carnal knowledge" is silver and black. This shirt is the best pajamas ever.

I had another friend who wasn't getting any smaller and had a 5150 tour shirt that wasn't getting any bigger, so I got the shirt. It's so old and falling apart, and the screenprinted part is all wrinkly in back. I still love it. The 5150 album cover on the front, and a big "VAN HALEN 5150 1986" with a map of the USA.
