Heres a new Message from Sammy's site................... Hey Red Heads,
Wow! I had a blast with the cool new VH1 “Rock The House” show.
It was by far the most fun promotion I’ve ever done. Jim & Lisa rule!
You fans are so generous to me on tour with all the wonderful gifts and goodies.
You are the best and Kari and I just want to say “THANK YOU”.
I sure hope you are as generous to your own loved ones and friends.
If you can’t make it to Cabo I hope to see you celebrate my
Las Vegas Birthday Bash at the Joint on October 19th
with special appearance by Michael Anthony.
**Tickets go on sale this Saturday, September 28 at the Hard Rock
box office, 702.693.5066...Ticketmaster, 702.474.4000**
And for all you Bay Area Red Heads there is a Free Show with the Waborita’s
on October 21st at Justin Herman Plaza, in San Francisco from 5-7 p.m.
since I never made it to the Bay Area earlier with the Hagar-Roth Tour.
Don’t forget to call me on Rockline October 2, too.
Gracias!

Wednesday, we welcome the "red rocker," Sammy Hagar, back to Rockline for the world premiere of his latest album, Not 4 Sale, due out October 8th on 33rd Street Records. It's the follow-up to 2000's Ten 13, which debuted at No. 52 and sold 127,000 copies in the U.S. The lead track from that album, "Serious Juju," reached No. 10 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The first single from Not 4 Sale is "Things Have Changed"; other selections include "Whole Lotta Zep," "Stand Up," "The Big Square Inch," "Hallelujah" and the title cut. Hagar, of course, recently concluded his co-headlining tour with fellow former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth. The tour was the first time these legendary rock'n'rollers shared a stage, each performing hits from their respective solo careers as well as Van Halen classics. In Hagar's case, the set list included tunes like "I Can't Drive 55," "Heavy Metal," "There's Only One Way To Rock," "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy" plus Van Halen gems such as "Why Can't This Be Love," "Right Now," "Dreams," "Finish What Ya Started" and "When It's Love." Hagar is expected to tour later this year in support of his new album. Between tours he still spends a lot of time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at his "Cabo Wabo" cantina (home of his very own boutique tequila), where he recently played a series of shows celebrating the club's 12th anniversary. Hagar joined Montrose (founded by ex- Edgar Winter guitarist Ronnie Montrose) in 1973 and became a local rock hero in San Francisco thanks to his potent live performances. After two albums with Montrose he left to pursue a solo career and enjoyed a string of successful albums and singles. Three Lock Box became his first Top 20 entry in 1973, and featured "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy", which reached number 13 in the singles chart. Hagar then took time out to tour with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, Kenny Aaronson (bass) and former Santana drummer Michael Shrieve, later recording a live album under the band's initials HSAS. Returning to solo work, Hagar enjoyed his biggest hit to date with the Voice of America out-take, "I Can't Drive 55." In 1985 he surprised many by joining Van Halen after Dave Lee Roth's departure. Don't miss the "red rocker," only Wednesday on Rockline!"I'm not as think as you drunk I am."
