Van Halen Bassist Jams With VH Cover Band In L.A.

Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony must be champing at the bit to play his band's music on stage. Anthony was a surprise guest during a set by Van Halen cover band the Atomic Punks at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California, on Friday (January 31).

Anthony joined the Punks for five songs--"Runnin' With The Devil," "Hot For Teacher," "Somebody Get Me A Doctor," "Light Up The Sky," and "You Really Got Me." He then left the stage, but returned later in the band's set for "Panama," "Bottoms Up!", "Mean Street," and "On Fire."

It's not the first time Anthony has come face-to-face with the Atomic Punks, as he played with them about five years ago under similar circumstances.
