Sammy Plays Cabo Wabo!!

I just got back from Mexico and I was lucky enough to catch a hour and a half Jam of Sammy Hagar with Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains at CABO WABO. It was great I was about 4 feet from the stage, the show took place on Monday the 19th at about 9:00-10:00pm. Song list included Rock n Roll- Led Zepplin, 55, one way to rock, Give to live, finish what ya started, Best of Both Worlds and No Excuses, Them Bones and Would by AIC. Cantrell Kicks ass!!

Cantrell is a great guitarist and Sammy sounded good even though the Tequilia was flowing. I spoke to Sam a little after the Show and we shared a drink. He was happy with the sucess of the new album and I asked about VH. He said that he had no contact recently with the Band or management and I don't think he liked that I asked!! Obviously Afterword I felt like a jerk. I did ask him if he was working on anything new and he said that he was taking a little time off.

Hey, I'm sure he gets that a bunch. You would have been lynched here,if you hadnt, if it makes you feel any better.

To all, You have to go to Cabo to see the cantina, Very nice bar and also the Bronze heads of the members of VH were cool. I will see if I can scan my photos from the Show in for you. I guess for the Hagar fans. Also I was amazed by Cantrell, he was very good and I have seen him with AIC before, this guy can play and sing with the best of them. I am suprised that Layne Staley had a job fronting AIC with Jerry backing him up.
