Eddie doing a solo project or an outside project might be a good idea for the man...but who knows what he needs, only he knows...

Exactly. And then there's always Starfleet, Donut City, Beat It, that thing with Roger Waters, etc. Eddie's had plenty of other outlets for creativity.

Ed has always said that a solo project would only sound like Van Halen so why even bother doing one. He mentioned something along the lines of people doing solo projects because they can't get their creative juices out within the cconfines of a band and that's why they go solo. Ed doesn't have that problem in Van halen so I see his point.

If it's a toss up between Ed solo or VH with singer #4, then he should go solo and not sully the VH name/brand any further.

I hope Eddie does the right thing and releases a new album with Van Halen. Just Ed, Al, Mike, and Sammy or Dave. Maybe when the band calls it quits for good, he could collaborate with other artists, but he should leave the "Van Halen" name alone.

I dont think that Ed has a problem with "creative juices", Van Halen has become his band, he is calling the shots for the most part.

Van Halen with Cherone is/was an Eddie VH solo project, imo.
