I renounce nothing!

I have nothing personal directed towards anyone who may be so upset with the current Van Halen situation. You are fully within your rights to "renounce" Van Halen publically or rant and rave about them.

Well, I for one will not do so. I think these efforts are reactionary and misguided and not because I have blind allegences, not because I am a sheep and definately not because I am some sort of "follower" of Van Halen. I just simply don't have enough to be upset with these guys. They have given me 10 (12 if you count GH and III) albums of some of the best music ever to tickle my ears. I would love for more new music to come out, but quite honestly, I find that there is more to life than Van Halen. For me, there is so much magic left in the earlier albums anyway! I could listen to them all for the next 40 years and still get shivers down my spine.

Eddie Murphy said in his satire conversation with Bill Cosby, "Bill, have a Coke and a smile and shut the fuck up." We Van Halen fans should, "Have a Coke and a smile, put our VH CD's cranked up to 10 and shut the fuck up..."

Now, I will do just that. I am putting Fair Warning on now as we speak with a Coke (Coca Cola), a smile and zipped lip... [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
