VH day in Philly!! I can't wait...Im from the burbs ya know...any thing special going on? I was there that beautiful day in May 98. Passed on the great VH rite of passage to my cousins, who got to see the Mighty VH for the first time. Mark VH...you know what Im talkin about!!! Mark who will be graduating from high school may just get a red and white striped graduation cake....but you know the saying....

damn right mike......that day ruled! got there at 4 o clock to see the parking lot cover bands and watch everyone roll in. after that day, it was all over for me..i was hooked on VH. it was the best thing i've ever seen in my life! damn right i'm gttin a striped cake for graduation!

I remember that openning phrase of Unchained so well!!! I remember just seeing the spot light show Ed next to his mic kicking that awesome riff out of the stacks!!! Mate, that begun what I call my closest thing to nirvana in my life (not the band - the frame of mind [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]) because after years of worshiping this band, I finally got to see them!!! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Me too...that VH tribute band (Jamie's Cryin', I think ??)wasnt too bad, but the whole "WYSP Van Halen Party" was a joke. My brother and I ended up getting smashed on vodka by 5 and had to go across the street to pass out in the park for a couple of hours before the show. What a day, even if it WAS Gary singing.
