Dear Mr. Danniels,

There are millions of fans waiting for new VH. According to many reports, you seem to be the reason we are all waiting. And waiting. And waiting. In the grand scheme of things, what in the hell could you possibly gain from your selfish politicking? If your personal itinerary is indeed the one thing that is keeping us all in the dark, let me just say that you are the epitome of what is wrong with the world today - greed and selfish ambition. Surely you have more positive things to do with your time - we all do. So please let it rest and let the rest of us get on with enjoying our lives and the band that WE the FANS love. The trade-off of YOUR personal satisfaction for our COLLECTIVE misery is just plain WRONG.
If oyu read this, invite your conscience back into the room and have it read as well. Then maybe it can relay the message to your deaf ears and we can get down to business.

Okay Wolf, I hear ya. I viewed this bad boy a couple of times, trying to put the words together, and I think I've got it now. My main concern is, I don't want to appear like some "high roller" here. But anyway, here goes.

I'm going on the theory that the Wolfman is onto something here Ray. If you're the problem, this is the solution as I see it. Yesterday I took a drive outside of the city to visit my parents. Now, before I left I stopped and took $40 dollars out of the bank. First thing I did after that was to gas the car up; gas is 67.9 cents per litre right now, so that cost me a cool $27. After that, I stopped at Tim Hortons and bought a twelve pack of donuts which cost me $4.99.

Now, it's an hours drive to get to my parents home (and obviously an hour back

), so that once full gas tank is now cruising around half. BUT, instead of investing that $8.01 in refilling my gas tank, I'm prepared to send you, Ray Danniels, a money order for said dollar figure ($8.01, in case you've forgotten already), IF you'll step out of the Van Halen situation and allow things to get moving. Feel free to contact me and we can conduct this business in the mature manner to which we're both accustomed; isn't that right, Mr. Poopy Pants (little Naked Gun reference for the kids in the cheap seats

).

It's my belief that this $8.01 is more than ample reward for your management services (I'm guessing that FORD will think it's too much

), but it's my belief that you've got to spend money to make money; or something to that effect.

However Ray, if you aren't the problem, please disregard the above, and I'll use my $8.01 for another 12 pack of donuts, and $3.02 worth of gasoline for my car.

i think VH should pay ray if that is what is holding things up. it doesn't make sense to me that it is danniels holding things up. look at n'sync, they left their record company and their record company sued them. i remember mtv saying that n'sync's new album was on hold and that this could do major damage to a boy band's short career span. but in the end they settled and n'sync went on to release their album shortly there after. keep in mind that i'm not an n'sync fan, just making a point. i doubt that mr.danniels has that much power. i'm sure that they could have gotten a deal done by now. mr.danniels is going to get a piece of the VH pie, so VH should have made an offer or went to court by now.

Just to keep everyone updated, I have yet to hear from either Ray or his organization about the cool $8.01 offer I have made. Thanks to LTLDREAMER for offering an extra $9.75 to the cause. Darkstar, I'll need a specific amount so that when I enter the negotiations with Ray, I'll have some solid numbers to throw at him.

These offers aside, I'm frankly a little disappointed that there hasn't been more of a groundswell of Links effort here. Sure, Ray can walk away from $8.01, but if we could get this number up around $30, surely he'd see we mean business.

Hey kids. I'll bet your posts have Ray crying in his milk.
Truth be told, he spent a lot of time working on the boys to give him 20% of their whole friggin life, and I doubt anything short of a Smith & Wesson enema's gonna change his mind. From what we've all read Sammy was trying to be the voice of reason, and look where that got him. Whether you like Sam or not, he saw Ray for what he was right off the bat. Ray's too good at what he does when it comes to screwing over his clients. He's had years and years of experience, and knows just when to keep the pen and contract ready. I just hope a court (if it gets there)can see the slimeball for what he is and let the guys do a Ray-ectomy to get realeased from the hold he has on them. We're all paying for it in a way, but not nearly as badly as Van Halen.
