What would YOU have done??

I think Gary was in an impossible situation which he handled, and still handles, with class and respect for VH fans...So, what would you have done differently if you got to be the singer for VH and NOBODY wanted you there? If lots of fans rejected you and called you a fag, what would YOU have done?? For whatever negatives Gary had or didn't have...he got up there and didn't puss out...That ALONE deserves respect!!!

i would have pussed out for sure. i would have spent my time thinking about how i was the lead singer of vh instead of writing lyrics.

You can tell that he is a real class act. He has never said anything bad about the guys and he will probably have a better career after being in VH.

wam bam oh amsterdamn, who are you to say that shit about Gary. From what people say about him he is a "NICE GUY". Not Gutless! Please, no more cheap remarks about Mr. Cherone. Gary was the wrong quarterback for the team...I'm sure he is a nice guy etc. etc. but ya gotta admit 3 was the worst VH album ever...It's not gonna be like "Fair Warning" where people come back years later and think it's great... Some of the songs have a "Extreme" sound to them i.e. "Without You"...There are some good songs on the cd...Fire in the Hole and Year to the Day are great...but overall not a good album...

i think gary was great! sure on 3 the songs were different and his singing sounded shot...man! him live was like 100 times better! id like to hear dave and sammy on the albums then see gary live! lol he was amazing! but ya like some of you said. great player on the right team but the wrong time. i was really looking forward to their next album with him though! but aw well...

wam-bam: You are a sadly misinformed person in labeling Gary Cherone as 'gutless' or latching on to the 'stories' that insinuate that Cherone is such.

Do you care to recall that Gary Cherone publicly challenged Eddie Vedder's stance on a woman's right to have an abortion?

In this day and age, when liberalism is celebrated and conservative values are blamed for 'intolerance', it takes someone w/ incredible fortitude to stand up and voice an opinion that cuts against political correctness, especially among the Hollywood and Rock worlds.

'Gutless' is hardly the term I would use to describe Cherone.

As for the people that claim he is 'gutless'...oh the irony!!
