In the meantime,if you want a kick ass classic rock show then Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes is for you.
This tour is by far the best show I've ever seen. Even better than Page/Plant.

I can hardly wait until Van Halen goes on tour... The past couple of VH concerts I have attended left me a bit surprised due to there being lots of generation X'rs in attendance (which I thought was pretty cool). The last show I saw (in support of VHIII) there were several Goth supporters attending wearing Marylynn Manson Tshirts. I thought that was a bit interesting since I believed before hand that Van Halen would be out of their range of musical interests.

Yes, when Van Halen finally hits the road again it'll be huge. The classic rockers are the toughest tickets to get at this point. Tina Turner is like...90 years old and still sells out every show. KISS and AC/DC are IMO like inferior versions of Van Halen and look how they're doin. I can't wait to see the publicity they will get and the type of crowd they will attract.
Marky mark, I think the Goth crowd appreciates the fact that Van Halen influenced a lot of the bands they listen to and that brings 'em to the shows.

i guess it's funky. but i find it hard to believe that the baskstreet boys credit van halen for them being the kind of singers they are. they need to credit the way that girls react to sexy little boys with cute little voices to their musical success. i don't think i'll ever believe anything other than their need for attention from chicks as their musical drive.

It will be interesting to see how the teen demographic affects VH sales since they basicly control most albumn sales.
