Eddie and David: Stubborn Mules Re: Set-List

It seems to me one of the major sticking points holding up this tour and reunion is the fact that Dave does NOT want to play any Sammy stuff, and Edward does NOT want to play any Dave solo stuff...

I think this REALLY stinks...

Here's Question #1:

Would you rather see the reunited VH with Dave if they play 2 of his solo songs (and 2 Sammy songs), OR not all all..

Ok, Fine, this is a ridiculous question, but it just proves how stubborn these guys are being....

Question #2:

If Eddie and Roth just can't work together in the studio, would you be opposed to them sending tapes back and forth and recording in different locales? (If this was the only way to finish the album)

I HAVE a very bad feeling all is not well in Van Halen land, and nobody wants to see a fourth singer (unless it's Corey Glover

, and bringing Sammy back, as much as I love the guy, does nothing for me...

Well, the only hitch in your comment, as others have said around here:

"If Dave didn't play solo on his last tour, why would he do it with Van Halen?" (and yes I know he played Yankee Rose, silly)

If Dave and Eddie can't get in the same room to make an album, it's time to let it go. Passing tapes back and forth is not the right way to put an album together.

I don't think this is the holdup. I can't see Ed wanting Dave to sing some of the Van Hagar stuff since he knows it wouldn't sound so good simply because we are talking about too different singers.

Also, why should Dave have to sing it anyway? I mean, he helped build this band from the beginning and whatever came after him shouldn't be so much of concern for him, and it isn't.

VH should just get out there and play! Geez, if playing Van Hagar stuff is such a big deal for Ed, let Mike sing at least one song like he did for "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" on the last tour. But, you know when that happens, everyone will most likely use that time to get another beer or to take a leak.

...do you really want to hear dave sing hagar ?...i dont - this is about the old school vh .....just maybe sam will open for vh!.....and at the end sam can do a few songs!

Sammy postpones the first 6 shows of his tour because he is negotiating with the brothers to open up for VH...

The tour is called Van Halen: BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. Sammy opens the concert with a classic Red Rocker set, and also does a few Van Hagar songs with Eddie while Dave is backstage popping more pills or doing some roadies...
