Sammy/Gary response?

Has there been any statements by Sammy/Gary regarding the EVH situation?
I haven`t seen any so far.

Not that I have heard but that doesnt mean they have not contacted him in someway or another.

We haven't heard from Mike or Alex, or Ted Templeman, Donn Landee, Ray Danniels, anyone at Warner Brothers or anyone at all really have we? And as OLO said, that's probably because all these people can do it in private.

Oh yeah, we did hear from a "stunned'" David Lee Roth six hours after Eddie's statement in the middle of the night.

Makes you wonder doesn' t it.

I am sure everyone feels bad for Ed and has contacted him in some way. Public statements are not necessary, this is a lil more of a private situation for some of these people.

I would have expected DLR to comment whether he is with them again or not. IMO !!

Sorry, but though I think Dave's feelings for Ed are genuine, I don't for one second think he'd have released this statement if it weren't for his trying to get back with the band.

Eddie had said nothing publically about his illness, so obviously he didn't want any attention focused on it. Therefore, I'm sure he'd have been just as happy to have Gary, Sammy, and Dave to offer their feelings out of the public eye.

It's irrelevant to discuss Gary or Sammy being classy in regards to this since we have no idea if they have contacted EVH privately. If they have, I'd say it's classy that they didn't keep dragging Eddie's name and misfortune into the public arena.

Brownsound, just because Sammy or Gary did not release any public statements does not automatically brand them as having "no class."

They still have private lives, and have some forms of private communication. I seriously doubt that they wouldn't say anything to him.

What? But I guess its okay then when a less serious moment like trashing each other about not being in Van Halen or why this and that happened, and all the back talk and burning bridges amongst each other in the media is okay then! Give me a break!
By showing some respect in a serious moment and show the people ( fans who made the artist what they are today! like Sam ) proves you have respect in the media and in private!
And about Dave saying it because he wants or is in Van Halen again? Well when Ed's Dad passed away, Dave sent his condolences then, and was that because he was back in Van Halen? NO...so don't assume these actions!

This is ridiculous. You don't have clue one whether Sammy has contacted Eddie privately. If he has (and I'm not assuming he has), there's no reason to release a statement to the media. Certainly not to prove to people that he has class.

DLR fans think this is a chance to put down Sammy and Gary just because they haven't made press releases about it. [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] We have no idea if Sammy or Gary have contacted Ed in private and shared their feelings.
