If it wasn't for Eddie, Steve Vai wouldn't be as well known as he is today. Remember he used to write transripts of Edward's music in Guitar Player magazine. Oh and learn how to fuckin' spell you retard!!!!!

Steve Morse needs to stop pretending to be Ritchie Blackmore or Kerry Livgren and get his own goddamn band if he's so fucking good.

In 1993 Deep purple brought Ian Gillan back against the wishes of Blackmore (who took a lot of money to make a solo album as a sweetener). They recorded an album (in different studios) and went out on tour in Europe. Two weeks before the end of that tour Blackmore handed in his notice, much to the surprise of the rest of them who had a Japanese tour booked. The Japanese tour promoter told them they would never play in Japan again unless the fulfilled their obligations with either Jeff Beck or Joe Satriani. Beck said no, Satch said yes and stayed with them for about 6 months until contractual obligations forced him to record a solo album (he'd spent the advance).
The remainder of Deep Purple wrote down lists of who they would like to work with and Steve Morse was the only one they all agreed on. He joined Purple about a year after Blackmore left.
Blackmore wasn't forced out, he threw one too many tantrums and then ran off with a blonde chick half his age to play silly folk songs.
I'm sure Ed Janx would tell you a smilar story.Delusions of eloquence
