A number of you who whrote to us on guitarworld.com felt that Hall of Famer Edward Van Halen should have been featured on this month's cover. Unfortunatly, Ed who has completely recovered from his bout from his bout with cancer, was not ready to talk yet. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the fabulous tribute we cooked up. And believe us. just as soon as Edward is ready to chat, there will be a cover waiting for him
They said when Eddie will be ready
When Eddie will be ready ... I don't know !
Waiting to have other news about this magazine EVH: Definitely. Playing guitar was my sanctuary. It was the one place I could go to if I got fucked around by a girlfriend, or anyone else, for that matter. It still is. If there’s something I can’t deal with, I can just spend hours playing. It’s a God-given gift – I certainly don’t know where the ideas come from. They’re obviously given to you, and you have to keep your fingers moving and your mind quiet. I try my best to not think about thinking, so I can just let it flow. Because when I start thinking, forget it.
So....why he isn't playing guitar ? ? ?

Where did you get this information from exactly?
VHWalkathon - Project 316

EVH: The music is first and foremost. That's the way it's always been and that's the way it will always be. Because without the music, what is there? Nothing. There's nothing without the music. You can't even cop an attitude without the music (laughs).

You'll find this comment in the first few pages of the mag......it's in the "editor's notes" or something like that.........he always has a little commentary on what's in that months issue.
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

As far as I know it’s just aesthetic but just not sure why they’d make that change. Then again Fender is a big corporation so they probably had some focus group that said square routes offer better...
